After three hate comments on one page look who's coming around Btw, those GOOD Friday joints are far from Kanye's best works. Check out his first three albums, you'll love em.
Well, I have heard his other tracks, and before I kinda liked em. But when Power and 808s came out, I lost faith in anything he has put out. In fact, the only reason why I like the GOOD Friday tracks are because of the lack of Kanye in them
I actually seems appropriate, since Mike Myers was with Kanye when Kanye said that "George Bush doesn't care about black people."
the "Runaway" film is this weekend, Saturday to be exact, on MTV, MTV2, BET, MTV.com, BET.com and VH1.com at 8PM EST. Q&A is scheduled for after it ends. I'm pretty excited, it looks pretty dope. also, the album cover is banned in the US. maybe!
Power was actually a back to form for Kanye. Better than anything off of 808s and the majority of Late Registration, in my opinion.
In comparison to what? I've listened to all of Kanye's shit and I don't find it horrible in the least bit.
Ok that's you. People have opinions. My opinion is that I don't like 808s. Your opinion is that you do.
Then again you're the guy who listens to Kanye, called Ayo Technology one of the songs of the year in 2007, like Lil Wayne, and call the rappers of ACCC overrated, so your opinion is moot.
Bet you won't, even though you say you will. 808s is horrible. The album has no soul, heartless. Especially that ridiculously blatant rip-off of Tears For Fears. The album is nowhere near amazing. The idea of Kanye West singing with autotune is already a sign of bad news.
I actually liked 808. The autotuning didn't really bother me on a lot of the songs. Plus Heartless was probably one of my most played songs from last year.
I just want to say: I lost a lot of respect from him after this.
^ Why? I don't understand what the big deal is. Can someone please explain it to me? What's the difference between this "rip-off" and a cover song? Honestly, I prefer Ye's version. The drums are raw as hell. His vocals aren't the greatest but who cares? The instrumentation in Memories Fade sound corny in comparison. I don't get why 808s is so offensive to some people. It's one of the most polarizing albums. In general, it seems most people never gave it a chance to start with.
I used to bump "The College Dropout" a lot, it's definitely one of my favourite hip-hop albums ever. Very excited about the upcoming collaborative EP with Jay-Z, 'cause, yeah, "Monster" is amazing. ;P
Really? Kanye's been sampling huge parts of songs from the very beginning of his career...
