I don't like any of these songs.

LOL at the #1 song, I mean the video is pretty entertaining but how can anyone actually like the song? Mike has lost his marbles!

Well, when it comes to Arcade Fire it's nice that he didn't go for Sprawl II like everyone else.

None of these seem weird to me and I enjoy quite a lot of them. Get Busy Committee, not as much as the others but Mumford & Sons, LCD Sound System, The Books, Arcade Fire, Vampire Week End. Some very awesome tracks here.

If that makes me weird then okay but I call it being diverse.

Spot on. Although it would be better if he went for Ready To Start.

Mike's taste in music is really weird.
    But it's good.

But how does he know all those artists?

If he's in the music industry he probably gets a lot of music given/recommended to him.

This. I don't understand why you all are so weirded out. I like a good bit of these artists as well.

A lot of it probably has to do with the fact that I stopped listening to radio about 2 or 3 years ago. When you start finding music a different way, you'll find your tastes expanding and becoming more unique than whatever some random mainstream radio station throws at you.

And for the record, I love the album the #1 song comes from (The Way Out - The Books). It was featured on the NPR Music app back in July when the album came out, and that's how I heard of it.

LOL at whoever said Mike shouldn't have time to enjoy music. A big, big, big, big LOL.

Kudos to Mike, too, for #1 pick being the Books. That's pretty awesome.

Obviously Mike and I have a completely different taste of music but as long as the music he makes is awesome it´s o.k.

Are The Books just a comedy version of The Avalanches ten years later?

Hindsight is 20/20. He may very well have loved it at the time, but in retrospect he doesn't think it's good.

I thought Recovery was great. The lyrics were strong, too. I'd put "Cinderella Man" on a top 10 list, personally.
