Foo Fighters have a new album coming out. They gave us a small preview today with one of their tracks from the upcoming album

From what I hear, this album is going to be fucking amazing.

    What are your thoughts?

Not bad, I won't get my hopes up too high though because for me their last couple of albums were pretty hit or miss.

The only thing that makes me a little worried is how they recorded the album. The White Stripes did a similar approach with Elephant, and I didn't like that album at all. But, hearing this teaser to the album raises my hopes.

It's going to be fucking epic, man. Through the roof. It's going to melt your fucking face off. And then it's going to shit down your throat while you just get used to your face getting melted off, and you're going to be like, "FUCK, NO, DON'T!", but you can't stop it because it's so fucking epic and you won't know what to do with the epicness.

...in all seriousness, I feel like every Foo Fighters album since around "One by One" has been overhyped and ended up not being anywhere near as good as their early work. They've had a few good songs in there, though.

Haven't heard a lot from FF... just a bunch from the last record and some other random songs. But I will check this one out.

Not actually keen for a heavy FF record... I'll buy it and probably enjoy it... But yeah... I'm a sucker for Everlong and Big Me and etc

    That or "Come Alive".

'Echoes, Silence, Patience and Grace' remains one of my favourite albums of all-time.

I really really really hope it's better than In Your Honor and ESPG. Both were huge let-downs imo.

They had some great songs, sure, but they weren't exactly up to par with The Colour and the Shape, There is Nothing Left to Lose, or One By One.

Come Alive is their best, IMO. That or the obvious choice, Everlong

As a casual fan a little guitar riff isn't going to do a whole lot for exciting me

White Limo is a mint song. I'm loving all the secret shows they have done so far as well.

Best song they've written since The Colour and The Shape. Loving the whole "we dont give a shit about mainstream music" atmosphere. Now I'm fucking stoked for this album!
