The Messenger, its a classic song, but Chester oversings it, if it wasnt for his shouting then it could easily be a hit, plus the song takes away the magic of A Thousand Suns, i'd rather have had a reprise of Burning In The Skies at the end.

We already had one reprise of Burning In The Skies.

I don't get why people are bringing up Chester oversinging The Messenger. Like 95% of the song is him owning the vocals and 5% of it is him hitting the high notes and screaming, yet still owning the vocals. He's not even straining to hit any of those notes.

Really hard for me to decide but it might be Robot Boy even though i love the song and would give it a 8.5/10.

I really hated Robot Boy at first, but now I'm completely in love with it. The dark and brooding piano chords and those hardhitting kicks really broke through my initial distaste for the song. I love the solo a lot too.

As for my least favorite song on the album, it definitely has to be *clears throat*

I would say Wretches and Kings. Just too monotone for me. It´s alright for their live performances but not 100% perfect for the album.

I have no idea why but I can't get into Waiting For The End. I like the song don't get me wrong I just can't connect with it at the moment. It's a grower though. :)

For me its Robot Boy because it seems as it is building up to something!
I personally like wretches and kings despite the fact that its monotone :)

The Messenger. IMO the worst full on track they have ever made. Worse then In Between.

    Next would be Robot Boy.

Wretches And Kings was the first song that excited me about the album, personally. But I'm an old school fan.

Wretches and Kings is not the worst. It has to be When They Come For Me. It's just way too predictable of a song...

About half the songs on the album are probably more predictable and straightforward than WTCFM.

I don't consider interludes as songs.

Mine would be Blackout. Yes, kill me, but talk about straining one's voice. And quite predictable.

Imo, When They Come For Me is the least predictable LP song ever.

How can a song be predictable? Do people actually know the lyrics before they happen? Do they know what notes they are going to hear? Can you tell which direction the song will continue on or stray away from? Do you know what instruments will be used?

Well, I can't speak for everyone else but I'm psychic so there.

But seriously, I guess usually when someone says something is predictable they mean it's cliched and none of what happens is out of the ordinary, even if they don't literally guess where it's going.

Either way, it makes no sense regarding ATS.

I don't see how anyone can call WTCFM and Blackout predictable. If anything, the most predictable songs on the album are W&K and Iridescent. Both those songs follow pretty conventional patterns.
