Joe, it's probably because we were one of the first people to post our videos. :(

And no offense to anyone who got their videos in, CONGRATULATIONS :D , but I thought we had amazing footage and I'm saddened.
But in all glory, Chicago is still beast for having our concert turned into a video. :) So I shall still smile about that. lol

Being such a big fan I hate to flame, and I hope I don't get flamed.

But, this imo is the worst LP video evar, by miles. You shouldn't promote a band with poor quality mobile phone footage and a live audio feed with frankly, bad singing (get angry if you must but if you think Chester hasn't been struggling with his voice for awhile now you haven't been listening).

I've seen the guys live, they put on a great show. However, if I hadn't and you showed me that video and that was all I had to go on, i'd be dissapointed already. There's a good reason why bands don't put out videos like this and get professionals in to shoot. I don't know whether they were trying to make us feel as if we were in the crowd and part of the experience, but it doesn't work. It's like watching some kids awful youtube video.
Although it does become more bearable if you mute it and play the original on your media player whilst watching.

On a side note I can see Joe using a timecoded Serato Scratch Live vinyl. Cheeky. Mind you it makes perfect sense for him to.

This is a fan perspective video and yes the concert still banned video recorder/camera devices so I think the video was pretty damn good for using only flip/cell phone footage. I myself love when bands do this cause you really dont see it very often.. Maybe this is just me cause I did attend one of the two shows but it really did a fantasic job bringing me back to the moment of this song .. And im kinda sick of people hatin of Chesters voice.. if people expect to hear something exactly from the album then you might as well critique every song they play. I prefer listening to the bootlegs, feeling the energy of their shows and listening to their reinvented music. No one performs better live if you ask me.

I can get that actually, I guess if I had been to one of those shows to see this video would take me back to the experience. I figured management would never allow fans to take professional equipment along so guess I shouldn't complain about quality much.

All I mean about Chester is this - His voice is not what it used to be.
I am not expecting whatsoever to hear what's on the album to be the same live. But i've heared them live for years and years. Chester used to sound incredible even live. These days however his voice has degraded, it's just an unfortunate fact. They can use as much studio magic as they like for future records but I don't imagine his voice will ever be what it was again on stage.

It's the way he screams. Every vocalist that does it more from their throat seems to have their voice deteriorate a lot easier.

That said, I was listening to one of the DSPs from their tour and he sounded pretty decent for most of it. Not really amazing but not horrible by any means either, which beats how erratic he seemed to be for a while around MTM when his performances usually seemed to be either really good or terrible.
