Mike Shinoda today took part in some radio interviews to discuss the action Linkin Park are taking with Music For Relief to help aid and relief efforts in Japan. He discusses the recent T-Shirts he designed and also talks about the upcoming Download to Donate: Japan which will feature a new Linkin Park instrumental titled "Issho ni", which Mike roughly translates to "We're In This Together", DTD: Japan will also feature other artists such as Enrique Iglesias, Flyleaf and Angels & Airwaves.

The other podcast has Mike spill the name of the track. It's called "Eeshonee" (spelling?). It's Japanese for "We're in this together."

Maybe we should update the original post with the title. "Issho ni" good stuff.

It'd be awesome if it ended up being an ATS demo. Let's hope so.

In any case, Linkin Park is awesome for doing this and it makes me proud to be a fan.

Can't wait to hear the song. I wonder what era of LP it's from, don't know if it's related but "Across The Line" working title was "Japan"

what do you mean what era? they made it sound like its being made specifically because of what's happening so it's something new. at least, that's what i'm taking from it. i look forward to it either way. lp's instrumentals were always good IMO.

I couldn't help but to think that MFR was another version of MCR but instead of Chemical, it was My Fucking Romance. No disrespect to the seriousness of the topic it was just a blonde moment I was having all day until I actually came into the thread and realised.

I wonder how an 'instrumental track' sounds different from a 'demo track' except it being more complete.

It's not too soon for new material they've been heavily writing for the entire tour, but I agree that it's probably an ATS outake.

Also, I'd translate 一緒に as "Together" myself.

The technical definition is "Together (with)"[ in a lump, and at the same time]

It'd be 僕らはこれに一緒にいます。 (Bokura wa kore ni issho ni imasu) for it to literally translate to "We are in this together" (僕らはこれに一緒に) for short, I think....

Anyway, I'd just translate it as Together hahaha

Ya it literally means 'together' only, but in this case I believe it's applicable.
They wouldn't want a track name to be so long.

"Together" is more accurate and it's shorter than "We are in this together". I think the translation that's been posted is misleading.
