Linkin Park's Official website has had a slight make-over with what appears to be a hint towards Iridescent being the next single, as reported earlier on the website. In what is a reference to "Transformers 3: Dark of the Moon" if you click the moon in the upper corner of the main page, you will be played a short clip of a modified Iridescent snippet along with a visual of a moon and what appears to be A Thousand Suns style art forming the Transformers "Autobot" icon.

Will Iridescent be a featured track on the Transformers: Dark of the Moon soundtrack? This all but confirms it. With Joe Hahn teasing a new video on Twitter, you can expect a similarly themed video coming soon. Head to the Linkin Park site below to see the video.

I now have the mental image of Transformers clapping and singing along to the gang vocals. I don't know if that's a good thing.

Wow, they really are "the Transformers Band." Didn't think they would be all that involved in any of the movies after Revenge of the Fallen.

So maybe they would modify the song to fit TF3? I think the original one is better... we'll just wait and see what the band could give soon....

Does it really matter though if they keep appearing in movie soundtracks? As long as they continue to make musically challenging albums that lead them in unexpected directions and force them to think outside the box, I could care less if they appear on movie soundtracks.

No, it has to be done gracefully and in an inventive way. Churning out elements that just look too corny or ill-placed doesn't cut it. They would risk over-exposure if they enter partnership after partnership of contracts - it's a line they've almost crossed before. Here's hoping they have mapped this music video out with thorough investment.

hmm why not have a 3D and 2D music video or something along those lines?

Sarcastic reply #1: Um... I think by definition, most music videos are 2D.

Sarcastic reply #2: Breaking The Habit called, they say your idea is old and busted.

I think that's a strong possibility... the band have already said in an interview that they were looking into the 3D technology - guess Michael Bay shooting Transformers: DOTM in 3D could possibly have something to do with it. Maybe a 3D Iridescent music video filmed with the same cameras? There are plenty of 3D music videos out there now... anyone interested should check www.3dblurayiso.com

Does anyone else think that Transformers related artwork the moon morphs into could be the Iridescent single cover?

LOL Clearly you have not won this thread yet, because you didn't grasp the context of what I was speaking to. No, what I meant was make both a 3D music video requiring glasses and a 2D version of the video also available. For the 3D version you could purchase LP/TF3 or MFR styled glasses benefiting a certain cause. It could even be shown in theaters hmmm hows about that for expanding their marketing campaigns? No, I'm gonna resist the urge to respond to select comments you made.

3D is busted and old. 1D is where it's at.

Megan Fox would be perfect for this music video after getting the axe.
