Yeah, it's probably the forth one. I have all other rips... They all sound differently, so I keep them all for the sake of having them :)

Thanks for another great re-rip and remaster.

So Skittle021, tell us more about the back story of the tape?

The Compact Cassette, often referred to as audio cassette, cassette tape, cassette, or simply tape, is a magnetic tape sound recording format. Although designed originally for dictation, improvements in fidelity led the Compact Cassette to supplant the Stereo 8-track cartridge and reel-to-reel tape recording in most non-professional applications. Its uses ranged from portable audio to home recording to data storage for early microcomputers. Between the early 1970s and the late 1990s, the cassette was one of the two most common formats for prerecorded music, first alongside the LP and later the Compact Disc.

Compact Cassettes consist of two miniature spools, between which a magnetically coated plastic tape is passed and wound. These spools and their attendant parts are held inside a protective plastic shell. Two stereo pairs of tracks (four total) or two monaural audio tracks are available on the tape; one stereo pair or one monophonic track is played or recorded when the tape is moving in one direction and the second pair when moving in the other direction. This reversal is achieved either by manually flipping the cassette or by having the machine itself change the direction of tape movement ("auto-reverse").

Well, there's not too much to tell. I personally don't own the tape. My friend does. He was the one who supplied me with the new rips of it. When he gave them to me, he wasn't actually expecting me to remaster them; I just did it for fun. But then, after I showed my remasters to a few friends and family members, they all suggested that I publish it. So, here it is :)

Skittle021 - Thank you so so much. I am on slow internet speed right now so I haven't heard the re-master yet but I am looking forward to hearing this. I love hearing rare and old Linkin Park music and the quality of the rip that I own doesn't so Xero justice. Once again thank you so much.

Also, thank you to the LPA for hosting the download and bringing us this awesome exclusive.

I can't get over how good of a job you did. I went into these expecting a few quick DNR adjustments, and heavy filtering....and instead I heard a remaster that was lovingly remastered and done carefully in respect to the source materials. You were very careful not to destroy anything with filters (some people say Reading My Eyes' intro is over filtered, but you cant please everyone) and you brought out background vocals/samples that weren't clear in the original 2001/2 rips.

I don't know what made you choose to use LPA to premiere these to the world, but on behalf of LPA and the fans who have enjoyed your hard work: thank you.

No problem at all. It was the most fun I've had in a very long time. I really appreciate all of the respect that you guys have shown me over the past few days. The response that this remaster got is absolutely unfathomable. I would have never guessed that it would EVER receive this much popularity. All I was wanting out of this was about 65 hits, and maybe 10-20 downloads. All I've ever dreamed of getting out of this was 1,000 hits and hundreds of downloads. Instead, in just two days, this post has gotten well over 3,000 hits and an unimaginable amount of downloads. I, sir, am forever in your debt...

I was looking at the Twitter Re-Tweets of the tape the other day and noticed that Linkin Park Spain had re-tweeted it. All I have to say is: "...SPAIN?!?!?!?!"

This, i've had the old rips for years, and they hurt my ears. These rips make them listenable.
