It was finally unveiled yesterday that the mysterious pottermore.com is actually a new online experience that will let the fans of the Harry Potter series, essentially, re-read the series in new digitally animated form. The first book, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's/Philosopher's Stone has already gotten the treatment and will be available for viewing when the site opens for early registers on July 31st, Harry Potter's birthday. You can sign up now to be notified when the site opens, and, apparently, the first 1 million people to register will gain access to that early opening before it goes open to the public in October. This is also the only official place to get all the Harry Potter books as eBooks, along with other Harry Potter purchases that can be made directly through the site. www.pottermore.com Any other Harry Potter fans interested? I'm a little disappointed about there being a lack of continuation, but in all fairness, J.K. Rowling has confirmed many times that the last book, and the epilogue she gave us later, were the end of the main story. Still, I'm super excited about this!
Sounds good. Glad it isn't the MMORPG people were speculating. I still want that encyclopedia she promised!
I think it could prove to be interesting, if it answers some of the questions that I have had for years about some of books. I also am still really wanting the encyclopedia too.
As a fan of the books, I am pretty intrigued. I kinda wish JK Rowling would do something of a spiritual successor to Harry Potter (not necessarily a sequel or a continuation) but this will do for now.
Signed up as well. Fought for hours to get my e-mail signed up with the immense traffic. LMAO. He's like a young Ricky Gervais!
Got in on Day 1 the minute the clue popped up, no joke. Beta welcome e-mails go out Sunday! Can't wait
