On July 4th, 2011 Linkin Park will be headed to London, England to play the Roundhouse as part of the iTunes Festival. They will have support from the Neon Trees as they take the stage for the final date of this touring cycle. The Roundhouse is also the most intimate venue they will have played on this tour, housing a 3300 standing & 1700 seated capacity.

Linkin Park have been playing shorter festival setlists on their past few dates, normally comprising of 22 listed tracks, however they have still been switching it up slightly by altering the order in which the tracks are performed. In fact, over the last two shows in Arras, France and St. Gallen, Switzerland they have completely removed One Step Closer from the set.

There are a few things about the show in London that are worth noting. As mentioned, this is their final date of this touring cycle, it's the most intimate venue they have performed in and on top of that, Mike Shinoda himself as promised something "special" at this show. As to what that is it's a guessing game.

    Update
: In a LPU Chat at 1:30PM BST on July 4th, Mike went on to say that the "surprise" can't really be classed as that, and it's not a big deal. He said he's going to stop using that word as people expect something really amazing.

Another factor for this show is the ticket holders themselves, the general public never got a chance to buy tickets as they could only be "won" through entering your details into the iTunes mailing list. Select tickets were also put up for bidding via Music For Relief. It will be interesting to see what type of audience this process will wield and just how many genuine fans will be at the show. Let's hope the ticket distribution won't hinder the usual engaging crowd we're used to seeing at Linkin Park shows.

The best detail about this show is that it will be broadcast live for your viewing pleasure! You will be able to watch the whole show live at the following times:

    8pm BST / 3pm EDT / 12pm PDT

The show will be webcast LIVE HERE. You can also watch the show on your iPad, iPod or iPhone by downloading the app. from HERE. Keep in mind Neon Trees will take the stage first, Linkin Park are expected to play an hour later at 9pm BST.

What do you think this "special" element will be? We've had guesses on our forums from a new song, A Thousand Suns being played front to back, more older songs being played... who knows?! Let us know your thoughts on the LPA Forums.

Update: You can now watch the whole performance via the iTunes Festival App or via the link below directly from iTunes.

I'm hoping for ATS front to back, at least that's the most likely I think. It's a smaller venue and intimate setting so what better place to do that? They could always play out the rest of the show with the hits.

Maybe, we'll know by the logistics tomorrow. Might be more difficult with it being on iTunes but we'll let you know tomorrow if we can.

While watching this, the first thing that jumps out at me is the amount of energy that they have for this show. It's incredible. I know they are always energized, but this is a different level.

I hate how the show is censored on iTunes. "When They Come for Me" just isn't the same.

Well, they are playing Numb now. I wouldn't see them playing with JayZ and not doing Numb/Encore. One potential surprise down?

Yeah it does ask for your credit card but they won't charge it unless you obviously buy something from the iTunes store. They also have the option of submitting your paypal account which is what I did. Idk if there is any other way you can watch the live feed of the show. The quality is great though, the band sounds awesome and it's worth the inconvenience imo.

I'm pretty sure they played Numb and Numb/Encore at Milton Keynes, so I don't see why they wouldn't do it again.

But I really hope the surprise isn't Jay-Z. I want something new.
