wow a lot of meteora hate...

my list in no particular order

wretches and kings - i didnt understand this..
no more sorrow, hands held high, little things give you away - it is "my opinion" that good bands should stay far away from politics cuz politically backed songs r terrible...hard to relate to if ur a non american cuz every time i hear that i can imagine the face of george bush vividly...
some off the collision course and reanimation..

else i gotta say LP's got the best serious shit and deep music

Empty Spaces is actually being mentioned as a bad song?!

    HERESY! KILL THE BLASPHEMER!

In all seriousness, you all know what I'd put here. So yeah.

Also, badmanhunts is the new resident necroposter in these parts. I'll actually be reporting this post this time.

No wonder there never seems to be that many topics to post in.

Posting is discouraged here. Got it.

    My worst songs:

    Hands Held High
    In Between
    Shadow of The Day
    Easier To Run
    The Messenger
Robot Boy (but instrumental sounds dope)
    Wake
The Little Things Give You Away
    Waiting For The End
    Hit The Floor

It was meant to be funny, but never mind, I don't do a good job of it most of the time.

Don't try to make me look like a bad guy. The rules indicate that necroposting is not allowed, and the last time this topic was posted in was in 2010.

If you really want to discuss the top 10 worst LP songs, there's already a perfectly fine ACTIVE thread right here: a thread about the exact same thing that has actually been posted in during the year 2011.

I think it's best if I remind you Minus that it is not your responsibility to enforce the rules on this forum or tell a member when they've broken the rules, or when you're reporting them, for you are not a mod nor a staff member of this website. It is not your job to tell people how to follow the rules, and the "report a post" function is there for a reason. It is there for people like I, or another mod/admin on these boards to handle posts that may be in violation of the rules. I know you mean well, but it's situations like the one above that could've been avoided had you just let us reply to him ourselves.

As for your reply Kathy, that's not true. Posting is welcome, and we encourage it. We also encourage everyone (newbies and old folk) to make new threads, and to reply to as many threads as possible. This forum is a lot more welcoming and lenient than other LP forums out there, and we have hardly any rules to follow compared to other message boards on the internet. One tiny rule we do have however (that is listed in the rules thread), is for threads that are over 1-3 years old without activity to stay dead. If a thread is dead, our rules recommend a member makes a new thread rather than bump an old one which may have broken links and other outdated information. It's simply much better to make a new thread than bring an old one back to life, which is what happened here.

While "No More Sorrow" and "Hands Held High" are quite political, They lyrics are written in such a way that they weren't/aren't directly aimed at the President of the United States. It wasn't written saying "Bush just talks away, stuttering and mumbling (etc)." The lyrics have words like "leader." There are plenty of other kinds of leaders in the world. Not just the American President. In "No More Sorrow," an American President's name is not dropped. Not once. Again, the lyrics are written in such a way that they can be used in other aspects of leaders. "Leaders" can be Supervisors, Bosses, Teachers, Boyfriends, Girlfriends, Spouses, coaches and even Parents, to name a few. What I'm trying to say here is a certain person may have inspired lyrics to be written, however, the lovely thing about music is that you can relate to those lyrics in your own personal experiences. I speak FROM experience.

Now onto "The Little Things Give You Away." This song, in my honest opinion, is not political. This song was written about tragedy and overcoming that tragedy. The tragedy of Hurricane Katrina and the effects it had on the city of New Orleans inspired the song to be written. While that inspired it, whose to say that these lyrics couldn't be interpreted as the flooding in the 2004, 2007 and 2011 Tsunamis that were all HUGE tragedies that did not effect the U.S. one bit. I know there are Tsunamis that happen every year, some being more severe as others, however, they are all tragic. I think what I'm getting at here is that flood damage victims in general can relate to this song. Not just the situation that the song was inspired by.

While I respect your opinion, I feel obligated to correct someone if I feel there is a mistake in their allegations. No hard feelings. Welcome to the LPA.

The Little Things Give You Away is most definitely political. There's nothing else it could possibly be.

I saw it. Don't worry. You're among good company.

But then there are the rest of the people on here. So I guess it's just me.

And Joe and Ree and Dean.
