Nickelback - When We Stand Together

I am not a fan of Nickelback either. I also never said the lyrics I posted were amazing. Just not terrible. And I also recognize the fact that a lot of LP lyrics are pretty shitty. So, yeah.

 

It's always funny when you're on an LP message board and people who are probably big fans of Meteora are criticizing bands for their horrible lyrics.

 

Square one.

 

I don't like Meteora's lyrics. I don't really rate Linkin Park lyrics in general besides maybe a handful of songs. The difference is that I think they have other things going for them, whereas I think Nickelback are pretty dull and mediocre all round.

 

To be honest the people who post here the most are in fact not Meteora fans (not BIG ones anyway).

 

I agree, and really think Meteora would have been ridiculously better than HT if it weren't for the lyrics.

True, but a couple of members that posted in this thread are big fans. I think I could have worded my post differently though

So guys, what's your favourite Beatles album? And what is your opinion of their lyrics?

 

The Beatles were never a band I listened to all that much. I think they're great n all, just didn't lsiten to em all that heavily

 

Revolver probably, I'm ok with their lyrics on the whole

 

Yeah Revolver for me too I reckon, though I definitely don't mind Sgt. Peppers and Magical Mystery Tour. Most of the more simplistic lyrics fit with the tone of the songs I suppose.

 

About Nickelback: Their lyrics are pretty generic but Kroeger writes pretty catchy, yet simple, riffs. Nice music videos.

The Beatles: I never liked them much although I somehow have all their albums. But if I had to pick one I'd go with Help.

 

I figured The Beatles were about as close to Nickleback as Linkin Park are. How good is the guitar solo in Taxman?

They have some good songs though, so I do listen to them every once in a while. I'll try and give this one a try later.

 

Holy crap, the lead singer's name is Chad Kogner or whatever right? Well I can't stand his voice. Bad song. Not "friday" bad, but pretty awful. So generic.
