I haven't watched any movies for awhile. I ran out of great foreign ones to watch. Nothing has been very good coming through the theaters, either. Attack The Block is the last one I've watched, and that was probably a month ago. Really sweet movie.

Another Earth - It's one of those movies where nothing happens special happens until last 10 minutes and then you realize what it all meant. So it's good I guess... 8/10

The Adventures of Tintin - It's okay movie, but somehow I wasn't blown away by it. I was expecting something more from Spielberg and Jackson... One chase after another the whole movie. Guess I'm getting kinda old for those adventure types of movies. 6.5/10

    Things Fall Apart - 8/10

The critics got this movie incredibly wrong. Most looked at the fact it had 50 Cent, and never looked past that part. Pity too, because they missed one hell of a performance by Curtis Jackson and a great story. Traditionally, I ignore movies that feature singers/rappers as actors, but 50 Cent really gave his all to this film, and I'll admit I was tearing up at the end. Great movie, and even more incredible that Curtis lost over 50 pounds for this role to play a dying cancer patient so realistically.

50/50 - Best movie I've seen this year. A really good script that was enhanced by the killer cast. It does have some crude humor, otherwise I'd recommend it to anyone. 10/10

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2 - 3/5
It was pretty good but they their portrayal of Voldemort was completely wrong. I hated how Ralph Finnes was acting all hammy... that's not how Voldemort is supposed to be! It took me out of some of the more dramatic scenes, which is a big cross against the film. The pacing seemed a bit off too at points, like most other HP films. But overall it was pretty good. I just wish they'd gone with a different director for DH... I'm not a big fan of David Yates' directing and visual style.

Rise of the Planet of the Apes - 4.5/5
Loved it! Probably one of my favorite films of this year. They really managed to strike a good balance between the ape side of the story and the human side. Plus the pacing was incredibly good. The action sequences came in only when necessary and they were brilliant. The last big set piece in the bridge was incredible to watch. And Andy Serkis did an amazing job as Caesar.

    30 Minutes or Less - 2/5
Meh. There were some funny parts but overall it was nothing special. Maybe if Danny McBride wrote it, it could've been funnier. Felt like a very run of the mill summer comedy.

    Primer
Wow. I need to watch this a good 2 to 4 times before even starting to understand it. This is probably the most complex time-travel movie ever made. I can't even give it a rating without a few more rewatches.

I also checked out a bunch of Louis Theroux documentaries: Under the Knife, A Place for Pedophiles, Porn, Gangsta Rap and Brothel. All of them were immensely intriguing. I'm currently watching more of his docs.

I watched it today and his performance isn't even remotely hammy considering. I'd struggle to think of more than one or two lines where he even raises his voice.

It's the little mannerisms that they injected that ruined it for me. Like him hugging Draco, moving around like a fucking ballerina... his villainous mannerisms just felt very put on. There were points where it felt like he's playing a villain in a campy b-movie or something. And that goes for his performance throughout the series.

Got an HD torrent of Drive. I'm in love with that movie now. Can only give it a 9/10 because I feel like it should have been 2 hours longer at least.

Secret Reunion (Ui-hyeong-j) - 7/10. Really good action/thriller. I've liked Kang-ho Song in every movie I've seen him in. I'm running out of great foreign films to watch. I think I've seen most of them in the last 20 years.
