Eh, soundcloud is preferred by a lot of people cause listeners can download the tracks, it's also a lot quicker than rendering a video just for an audio track. That's why there's been such a huge uptick in Soundcloud submissions recently.

I really like some of the submissions so far but, to be honest, based on past contests I was expecting some really amazing stuff for this month but I haven't really heard too many mind blowing mashups yet. I wasn't going to submit to this but what the hell, should be fun. Only problem is I've been making mashups since 2006 mostly with LP songs and I don't really have a definitive choice out of all of them so I don't know which one to actually submit. I just made a soundcloud account and uploaded 7 of my mashups. If anyone wants to take a listen let me know which one is the best and I'll submit it cause I can't decide.

It's also that the feedback/community aspect of SoundCloud is very much suited to remix contests and the like. And SoundCloud's transcoding is probably quite superior to YouTube's, seeing as there's a specific focus on audio ... :)

Okay.. So after some consideration, I've decided to change my entry.
I made this one specifically for this contest. It's sort of a mini mega-mix.
I wanted to go above and beyond, so I cut 2 new LP instrumentals together and then went wild with the vocals.

    Enjoy,

Not really feeling much on that page except for the Ozzy and 30STM mixes. They're okay. The 30STM has a lot of promise. If you play around with the LP vocals to give them a bit more 'swing', it would fit the instrumental a lot better. There are some epic moments in there for sure, though.

Not directed at any one specific person, but everyone needs to remember you must include the required LPAssociation Monthly Mix-Up picture with your submission in order to be eligible for this contest. Instructions are in the first post.

Thanks for the feedback. I've gotten a few compliments from the other ones and they're some of my favourites so that's why I included them. I guess I'll just submit the one I get the most feedback from so I might end up choosing one of those if others feel the same way.

I wouldn't know where to start with this ha! However there's definitely a good mash up out there with Prodigy's Their Law - potentially given up or one step would love to hear something along those lines! Keep 'em coming guys some good entries so far though :)
