LPA Monthly Mix-Up November: Mashups

I guess I should show you what I meant when I said to give the vocals a bit more 'swing'. I gave my take on your New Divide/The Kill mashup.

I altered the lengths of parts of the vocals so they stretch in some places and shorten in others; I think it fits a lot better with the beat.

Ah, I see what you mean. I like both versions, but I also like stuff that off-beat too and I have a tendency to do that with my own music. I like things that sound weird but also fit musically. I actually wasn't originally going to release that mashup but I received a lot of compliments after I did.

I think I might submit my Ozzy mix only cause it was a b**** to make since my mixing software at the time was being dumb, it was the longest time spent on a single mashup, and I used more than two songs compared to what I usually do. I've heard from other people that my RATM, Jay-Z/Eminem, and Usher mashups are some of my best and the Black Eyed Peas one has the most views on my YouTube channel so that's why I included those on my account.

Wow those two go well together. My only concern is that in a few spots the tempo of the lyrics is off from the guitar (I remember distinctly there was a problem at around 1:15), and that at the end the music gets REALLY FRIGGIN' LOUD. I mean, don't get me wrong, I understand what you were trying to do, but I think it's just too loud compared to the rest of the song. Tone it down a bit and you're golden.

 

Doubt if it has any chance to win but hey, let's have some fun.

yep dude! u'r right! the thing problem at the end is that as i was mixing that part i got really tire of listen it over and over again and the LOUD volume turned to be NORMAL volumen! i rrealized it was too loud after i uploaded it! anyway im working on it and the new version will be up in a few minutes. thx for the feedback!

Quick question, are people going for linkin park vocals on another song, or another songs vocals on an LP track?

Still trying to figure some ideas for what to do...

 

yours is my favorite so far, I would take the reverb off chesters voice though
