LPA Monthly Mix-Up November: Mashups

Yeeaaahhhh, I don't think I'll be submitting my mashup after all of these other submissions that blew me away.

I don't want to make assumptions, but I really don't know who's judging this and I see "Admin" and I'm wondering if you're one of the people judging it and if so, I'm kind of surprised you shared opinions on submissions I'm considering but at the same time happy cause I have a better idea for which one to submit to give me a better chance . I hope I'm wrong. Thanks for the all caps tho

Also, do we have to allow downloads to be in the contest? I don't have a problem with people downloading my mashups (I encourage downloads as well with my own music, I distribute all of it for free) but in the past I had a process where I release mashups in "sets" of 5 or 6 at a time when they're all completed and offer downloads of the finished product at the same time. This track I likely won't change but the actual "set" isn't done. This is really the first time I'm putting out a mashup early and want to keep the download option disabled until I release the set (which is sometime in early 2012).

I still love listening to Celldweller, and just recently realized you can actually download the multitracks of some of his songs from the fixt website... Why did I not know about that two years ago?

 

Thanks, though I can't really take the credit for the awesome music from Pendulum that had you dancing. I guess the entire Immersion album is available as instrumental tracks if anyone else wants to try making some mashups to dance to.

 

I knew it was Pendulum, saw them when they opened for LP in Toronto. i've been listening to Immersion since then. Honestly it was the combination that had me dancing, they work really well together.

 

Judging by the reactions so far maybe I should switch my entrees. I think you misinterpreted my concern. Soundcloud gives me an option for download and I don't have a problem with that... I just don't want to offer it as a download at this time, and instead wait until I finish all the other mashups in my set (I have 3 others done, "LP vs. Jason Darulo", "LP vs. Jay-Z & Rihanna", and "LP vs. Adele" with more to come when I release it all).

Currently have the Ozzy mix as my entree but I'll consider any of these if I get more feedback from one than the other. Either these or the Pendulum mix.

Awesometacular! The only thing I think wasn't fitting well was Mike's part from Blackout. Other than that, loving it!
