Don Gilmore's Reaction

After Meteora , LP decided to go with Rick Rubin... What was Don Gilmore's reaction to that approach?

Probably nothing at all. They chose to have him do Meteora. Bands don't really stay with the same producers and as far as I know, don't ever contract out multiple future albums with any one person in mind.

 

I'm sure the little kid in Cleveland wasn't happy about it.

Don Gilmore isn't some big shot producer. He's pretty much a record label guy who does pop albums. His reaction was probably to shrug and move on to the next one.

 

He didn't react immediately, but he eventually started posting here under the name "ameenshake."

 

i think most bands don't go with the same producer for a long period of time........................ any way i think don did his share in linkin park and he was happy with that

 

all he did was "right! on to the next one!" *eyes up Bullet for my Valentine* "muahahahahaha!"

 

After LP had left him, Don started to feel very... numb. He couldn't heal neither could he feel.

Oh and he also desperately tried to reach for something real.

 

Meteora is actually a concept album about Gilmore post-record.
