I know we have all different opinions, different perceptions to every RECORD that LP made... By this time, A THOUSAND SUNS is still being criticize and argue by others, knowing that its almost 2 years since from it's released date..

MOST of them says, LP was better during HT, METEORA and MTM.. SOME says LP is SHIT on A THOUSAND S[HIT]...

    Any Thoughts?

You forgot to mention the people who think ATS is their best album. Not my favorite but their best

Yeah, most of ATS got really old really quick for me. I still enjoy Burning In The Skies and Robot Boy, but I can't bear to listen to any other song, they all sound so boring.

Objectively speaking, I think they've been a much better band since 2007. That said, besides throwing on "Waiting for the End" every now and then, I don't listen to them much.

ATS is certainly not my favorite... It's not as bad as some people claim it is, though. It's still not great.

I don't really give a fuck if others hate the album. I got it and I understood what the band was going after. I appreciate the album more each time I listen to it. I still enjoy the hell out of it to this day. To me, that is what matters.

It has been 8 years, 11 months, and 9 days since Meteora came out and I will STILL criticize anyone who thinks it's anything more than a steaming turdfuck.

Hate knows no time limit. Don't expect this to change. Just say "fuck it, that's your opinion" if they give you shit for liking something. Unless it's Meteora, in which case you're wrong.

It's not my opinion, I just read the comments while watching on youtube.. I found out that there are still people arguing ATS so much....
On my side, I respect them for making an album that is said to be challenging, something creative...

    It's pretty simple really.

If you like music that you can headbang to, that you can sing along to, that you can relate to, that's easy to listen to, and that sounds "uber awesome," you probably love Meteora and think A Thousand Suns isn't very good.

If you like music that is artistic, that is creative, that takes a couple of listens to notice all the subtleties, that is well-written, and are open-minded, you probably prefer A Thousand Suns.

That's why it's on par with ATS.

    ^ This!

But do we really need a retrospective thread like this every few months or so? :)

That's debatable. Nu-metal in the year 2000 wasn't exactly a revelation. The fans give Linkin Park a little too much credit with Hybrid Theory sometimes. It was still really just pop music.

I'm the same as Hybrid. I still love this album. It's easily their best effort, in my opinion.

Linkin Park have one of the worst fanbases of all time, of course they're going to complain about an album years after the fact.
