According to Boston, MA radio station WAAF, Linkin Park will be coming to Mansfield, MA on 8/14 for a tour date, with tickets on sale starting March 17th. If true, this could mean that LPU presales will be announced any day now for this show, and that Linkin Park will be coming back to the states for a tour sooner than originally thought. As always, until Linkin Park confirms this date officially it is only a rumor.

Yeah, Boston is like only 6 hours away from Philly, so there's a huge chance that Philly's date will be in August too. Finally another summer date. Hated standing in the cold for the January show.

Atlanta or Nashville for me. Seeing how Comcast Center is an amphitheater, it is looking more and more like a PR date, which means Atlanta is more likely....

So I've come up with a theory. The new album is suppose to be out summer 2012. Albums always drop on Tuesdays. August 14th is a Tuesday. Anddd two years ago Avenged Sevenfold played Mansfield the day that their last album was released. Coincidence? Perhaps, but I feel like anything is possible at this point. Seems like a good theory to me.

If this is going to be the first US date, I'd seriously consider driving up to see it.

As long as the Toronto date is before September since I'm moving to London, Ontario for University and it would be a mission to go to Toronto and back especially if its a school night. I'm crossing my fingers that they will play in London again, they did in 2008. I have no idea why though since its just a town of not even half a million people in between Detroit and Toronto.

    (I'm Kyle by the way)

I never said that this news was official I was just sending Derek information I got in a WAAF text message this morning then it was listed on their site. Any "big" show that has been in the New England area has always been revealed by WAAF with accurate details, so I'm not saying that WAAF or I am right or wrong, but WAAF has had a good track record.

They could be wrong on this news, but I think we should hear at least something very soon then.

The news story is that there's a Boston radio station saying there's a possible US show. The news story isn't that the LPA are saying there is a possible US show. There's a difference.

Whether we believe it or not, or if it's true or false is irrelevant. As long as it's correctly stated as a rumor, it merits a news post. As a website dedicated to Linkin Park news and rumors, I see this as nothing different than any other form of reporting. Our posting the news isn't acknowledging they're correct by any means.

If any media outlet is stating something about Linkin Park, as a Linkin Park fan I want to hear about it, whether it turns out to be true or not. I'm glad articles like this are posted for discussion.
