Meteroa was a good album? From The Inside is my fav LP song.

Meteroa would be my joint fav album with ATS. Although it changes regularly cos I them all for different reasons.

I don't care what the new album sounds like, as long as it sounds good to me.

Imo, LP needed meteora. If they went straight to MTM theyd be classed as drop outs rather than explorers. Also it gives them variation live as they could play entirely old or entirely new stuff.
Also I dont see them as going backwards, ATS was new, at the time HT was new. Combine them and what do you get? NEW! Its not simple to mix old with new as they have to get it just right.

Btw I dont think any party is a party till faint is played and something broken, preferably together.

 

I'm sorry but if this album is anything like Chester and Karrang! are describing it, I will not like it. Period.

Plus, I fucking hate pie.

 

Today I learned that putting out an album exactly like the first album classifies you as an explorer.

 

No I mean if theyd gone from HT to MTM they would be dropouts in the eyes of many. But by releasing meteora they set their "sound" and so they werent dropouts.

 

I notice that Mike's mentioned the Kerrang article on Twitter. I suspect he would have said something more if he thought the article/pie-chart summary was completely off the mark.

The new album is gonna call 'A Thousand Lies'. Everytime someone asked the band about their new album, they lied (hence the contradictory statements). From the day they released ATS until they release the new album, they will have lied a thousand times to us.
