I'll listen to the snippets, but I don't plan on listening to the album leak. Of course, I said that last time. Whoops.
Don't plan on listening to the single too early - I'll perhaps wait until the video comes out - but, if these "snippets" are multitracks, I'll certainly download them. Best teaser ever! And the subsequent leak of "Remember The Name" was awesome as well, it built up on the snippet perfectly! But that doesn't make me feel any better about the idea of overplaying the fuck out of this upcoming single :/
I will, I can't even pretend like I'm strong enough not to. However, I have to say I didn't know what to think of The Catalyst when the stems were released. Hearing the drums, and the chanting without any backing music, it made me question how the song would sound. However, The Catalyst is among my top 10 LP songs, so even if the clips from Burn It Down sound iffy, I'm not worried that LP are going to put out a strong opening single.
As much as I'd like to say I won't, I'm almost 100% certain I will listen to each and every snippet until the parts are sealed in my brain.

Nice thread and question! Since MTM I try to swear to myself that I will not hear snippets, Ill try it so hard in this time, I prefer a long multiplous orgasm.
I'll admit that the catalyst teasers got me absolutely pumped. However, the stems or multitracks from the contest ruined the song for me. This time, I may listen to snippets...just no stems. I am definitely skipping any album teasers. The bonus of this fast single release is that I won't be so tortured. It's only a two week wait.
I've already accepted the fact that I'm going to hear it... holding out until the actual release is an impossibility, haha. I think snippets tend to get me even more pumped for the album though. I remember listening to the ATS 30 sec previews and being more curious about the album than I was previously.
I did the same thing and yes, it tortured me as well and spiked my curiosity but I just cant help it. Linkin Park is my drug!!
