In my personal opinion, we need to drop Living things and all of the letters involved with it all together. What I find funny is that it can't even be living things because of where the 00000-0000's are placed.

I think the album title should be "Aftermath" as a statement to a follow up to A Thousand Suns. Minutes to Midnight - A Thousand Suns - Aftermath

This puzzle is not about the new album title! its only about burn it down and listening to pieces of the song! Living Things or other words we find are codes. maybe we should use them in terminal.

Exactly. The pattern is probably right, but we have to find other ways of getting new letters or just wait and re-arrange them all in the end.

Again, there is nothing else we can enter in terminal at this time that will do anything, so don't focus on the terminal.

Not necessarily... There's only one command for the terminal. But perhaps if we figure this whole thing out we could enter it as a password in the terminal. I understand that it's only been used to solve the puzzles, but that doesn't mean there could be a hidden password that would unlock whatever it is were going to find.

I have been trying this for at least the past hour.

So far, no combination of numbers I've tried (that doesn't stray too far from the original idea) has a solution that doesn't have a character that doesn't make sense. For instance, a letter goes beyond 26, or ASCII characters in the very low range turn into backspaces and things. What's interesting about LIV/_NG_TH_/N_/_ is that all of the letters make sense together in English. You'd see TH and NG in english, and LIV is pronounceable... and having pairs of letters that work together is much less probable find than just finding 26 letters of the alphabet. There's nothing else to be done with LIV/_NG_TH_/N_/_ idea until a new piece comes out that's hopefully not #8, but I think this is the solution most on track so far.

@Nate: GoldFire has looked at the source code for the terminal.

I think when they publish the final puzzle, they added a final command to the terminal. The code has been changed several times. Only for images.

That's true :) Indeed, we should wait for the next puzzle! Hopefully, it will help us.

Well, I didn't mean stop looking for an alternative cipher, either. Except any others are gonna have to use some imagination juice.

The "OOPS" in the terminal when, in the third puzzle, you try to use "SUDO SOLVE()"

Yeah, have tried a few stuff, but nothing concrete. That one seems like the best one till now.
