This is supposed to be an ambiguous name. I think it means two things. Both the live music that is within them and is part of the toolbox, the new definitions as they are giving and living for the band as something new. But this is only my opinion.

What's odd is that we didn't get any LPTVs about the new album!

hate the name living things with a passion, even it has some deep meaning. every other album had a cool name and deep meaning. i'm just going to have to get on with it by the looks of things though

I really don't like the name, but whatever, it's all about the music. And I can't WAIT for Burn it Down. Castle of Glass would've been the most perfect name for this album imo.

hmm i should just go to sleep now and wake up when burn it down and all the other infos come out tomorrow. time moves faster that way and now i'm going crazy with excitement for the single and album both : D i actually never had problems with the title being living things, it sounds good to my ears and i don't know why but for me it fits with the other titles. i'm sure we will eventually learn why they chose it. i'm really glad they found the place where they are comfortable with their music. because this music is my life. it always has been and always will be.

epic fuckin blog post! Im so excited...my 8am-5 work shift tomorrow better go fuckin quick dammit!! so then i can rush home, on to the LPA, and see the news!

and one of my favorite lines in this blog: "For me, it’s all about getting back to the real “hybrid theory” — not the album with that name, but the idea that the six guys in our band have drastically different tastes in music, and the blending of all those sounds into one is exactly what we built our band upon."

    great wording Mike!

It may be my least favorite album name, but it's easy to live with. My concern is I hope the band knows the difference between "using all tools" and "stepping backwards". Mike's words are always an interesting read and of great comfort. I just hope he's as sincere as he sounds and this isn't a psuedo-sellout to fans blabbing for their old return. Not that I think that's what this is. Burn It Down certainly doesn't sound like anything from Hybrid Theory, (so far) but it does have familiar elements. In that regard I guess his words ring true.

My theory for this is that they kept them on the down-low so that they'd have more to incorporate into their Making Of DVD. We got A LOT of stuff in LPTV's during the ATS cycle but a lot of people complained about the lack of depth in their DVD so I theorize they held back for that reason.

That was one of the best pieces written by Mike. Day after day I respect the band even more and more.
I'm sure this album is gonna prove once again why Linkin Park is a huge name in music today.
