Well then. Um. maybe they'll announce a stream-the-album-early type thing? A song?

 

Snippets? New song release?...the 6-track cd sampler?

 

Neon Trees just did an interesting campaign where every day, a new website would stream a different song from their new album.

I'm not saying I think that's what this will be, but there are a lot of possibilities.

 

If that's what it is....

Maybe the time details for the NEW ALBUM will be reveal to us... that would be awesome..

Well he said BIG announcement and that it would be via the @linkinpark twitter. I don't expect their real twitter to "troll" us. If mike said it's not the Burn It Down video i believe him. I think it could be snippets. Mainly because a new song will be given to those 10,000 people in the leaderboards. LP know it will be on youtube they aren't stupid, they WANT to release a new song before release. Then track lengths aren't a BIG announcement either. I am guessing snippets, not a new track and not song lengths

 

I think that the BIG news will be some special concert in america, just for americans not for anyone else...

 

I'll throw an idea out there. LP have always had albums that are relatively short on length. Maybe, just maybe, they might announce that LT comes with a demo style cd or something? There is too much emphasise on it being a BIG thing. A song snippet isn't that big as with leaks coming out it wouldn't be big news. I think that it is actually something big. Maybe, recorded 2 albums, one now, one in 6 months etc?

 

That sounds to good to be true but dammit if I wouldn't LOVE for that to be the case! They could totally do it starting 12 days before the album drops though! *wink wink nudge nudge*

What would really blow my mind would be if they announced that they've decided to play the entirety of Living Things on the upcoming tour. I know it's something a lot of bands in the metal scene have been doing lately. About a year ago I saw a band play one set that consisted of the entire new album and an entire second set of fan favorites and rarities. Hell, if LP played ANY of their albums in it's entirety I'd break down and buy the tickets regardless of how broke I am at the moment lol.
