Impacting for me were With You and damn, A Place For My Head's garage demo that came out last year. That shit is fucking cool. Like, otherwordly.

Burning In The Skies, Robot Boy, and Waiting For The End.

ATS came out exactly at the same time as my parents divorce, so those songs specifically hit home at the right time.

Somewhere I Belong. The Live in Texas version is amazing, and that song really hit home with me.

Pushing Me Away and Given Up are pretty much tied for me, for Linkin Park that is.

Wretches and kings for me. The speech at the beginning got me so pumped up that i tried to put my body on some gears. I woke in the hospital 3 weeks later with a dead arm. Regardless to say, i felt like a boss.

I just hope Burn It Down doesn't have the same effrct on me.

    The Messenger.

It made me think about my life and appreciate it more. It also was very warm and positive. The chorus gets me through alot of tough times.

And what's with everybody and the uncreative "let's put this song because it's not really a song or a joke song" posts? Come on guys what's next, Foreword? Cure For The Itch? :rasberry:

When I first heard LP I liked them for their sound and not the lyrics but the song that honestly left a huge impression lyrically on me was ''The Messenger''. I could relate to it. Even though I feel depressed and lonely I still have a family that loves me :p

What song impacted me the most lyrically?

Well, I didn't know what bad lyrics were until I heard Somewhere I Belong.

I've lurked on these forums and saw your witty/hilarious posts before, but this made me laugh.

And I just had to say that.

    Shadow Of The Day.

Despite being a near blatant copy of With Or Without You, I still find it one of the best songs lyrically that the band has ever done as well as the most mature.

In Between. This song really changed my perspective on Mike's singing ability, plus I love how intimate it sounds.

This fucking story never gets easier tell. For me it was somewhere I belong. I never had a lot of friends and was bullied daily. I was raised by my mother who used to call me fag. I didn't even fit into a fucking gender. So it was kind of my anthem. I have more in depth story in the how Lp changed my life thread. Puts things in context
