I think the more appropriate way to put it is, his voice has changed over the years, for better or worse. :) His singing, on the whole, is much better now but I think his tone has changed. Some people might say that, as a result, he can't do the more aggressive parts in some of the older songs as well as he could ten years back.

It's not much of a big deal to me and most fans, especially casual ones, won't ever pick up on it anyway. I think the only reason they even play the older songs anymore is because the fans demand it.

Brad used an old Les Paul Jr. on the studio recording of WFTE, but he and Mike have always used PRS's on the live version (Mike often plays a PRS Singlecut, which is very similar to a Les Paul).

With regards to Chester's voice... He's getting old already, 36 right? its possible that his voice is change a lil bit but he still got some of the notes in live performances.. There are some people criticizing about Chester's appearance and voice that he is getting old and didn't able to scream anymore.... For me, as long Chester able to sing well, Im fine with that... :)

Linkin Park fans as a whole have been really spoiled in this regard. ;D Chester's just been so consistently good, both live and in the studio, throughout the band's whole career that we forget that not a whole lot of singers could even come close to what he does, whether ten years ago or today. He's never been anything short of impressive.

Why do you peple always point out something that's not perfect?

This song requires a lot of energy and breath. Chester mentioned his hardest songs to sing live are Crawling and With You, and both songs have these long notes that are really difficult to sing. The same is with Burn It Down. Not to mention it'd sound much better if you were actually there at the show.

I think they need some more rehearsals. I'm talking about Chester's timing. He's going a little bit faster than the melody.

Well, can be only the bad accoustic of the MGM Grand Arena, but IMHO, the Sound Balance and Volume have to be analyzed. His voice is a tone under the bass and drums. Just IMHO.

But is a very good performance. They Could show more of Delson and Bourdon playing.

So, what makes music great is only the fact you can relate to it?

I just made the point that, in terms of Chester's singing, Linkin Park fans are very used to perfection now and probably have a little bit of trouble appreciating near-perfection as a result. ;P

Well, some people simply don't like music - or, lyrics, more specifically - that they don't feel they can relate to. That's not really anything about the quality of the music, though. :)

    Just looked back, you're right.

Some of their songs would be ideal on a Les Paul, I find it funny how they never use them to be honest.

Even with the mixing being a little off, I thought it was a solid performance by the band.

Also, it wasn't just Linkin Park, I noticed the mixing was flat with a lot of the performances.

In case any of you were curious, I've done some extensive research and come to the conclusion that Tihilp92 is saying one of the following:

It's fu. Kin good! (A period denotes the end of a sentence)

It's fulkin good! (The period key is closest in distance to the L key, perhaps an error in typing)

It's fuperiodkin good! (Perhaps the period is meant to be spoken aloud. This would be similar to the exclamation marks scene in the band name !!!)

Honestly I rather have a chief that cooks the same shit because then he's a pro at it and won''t mess it up. If you want different styles go to a different chief for once. A thousand suns was alright, but not great. I'm kinda ready to go back to HT and Metrola too.

I bet Metrola was a better album than Meteora.

They definitely never wanted to heal, feel, like they were close to something real like a banana peel.
