I like it. The song, despite all of the elements, has a very clean sound to me. It was nice that the video sort of reflected that. Yes, there were a lot of effects that texturized the shots, but it has a simple structure, no attempt at a weird story or Joe's overly esoteric imagery. It was good.

I really liked the video a lot, in fact what I saw was what I have expected. Perhaps it was too similar to "New Divide" but nevertheless, it was great!!! As for the song...I just loved it! :)

Is not fantastic but isn't horrible either. The fire part was awesome!!

My only complains are the amount of cuts during the video and when they freezed when the song is really uptempo.

So I didn't know the video officially came out until I was sitting in the cafeteria eating dinner when suddenly it comes on MTVU screen in the corner of the room. Thank you, the last useful MTV channel: now make it so I can order you and watch you at home.

I was too busy craning my neck to watch it and being spazzy over seeing a LP video in public. The matrix fire thing was really cool looking, despite the matrix being old. On the whole it seems pretty much like the last few videos before it. I generally prefer ones with narrative, like BTH, FTI, or Crawling, or really imaginative things like underground werewolf monks and flying whales. Lately I haven't seen any of that outside of Iridescent (which would have been awesome until the transformers product placement interrupts the narrative and makes the video not make any sense at all).

It didn't make up for the dinner being absolutely terrible.

Love the video at the moment, though I am waiting on a proper high-resolution copy before making a real judgment. :)

Don't mind the video at all, though did anyone else get frustrated with the constant white lights?

Just watched it on tv and it's growing on me, it's not their best work, but it'll do. Kinda like the single actually.

I actually like this video. Not as great as "What I've Done", but good enough.

It was ok. I felt like I was drunk during the first half with all the blur.

I don't know if it was just because LGM's premiere was so epic, or just the fact that this is simply New Divide 2.0, I watched this once and that was it. Nothing special at all. I don't like the videos that are just the band performing the entire time - I miss the "stories" with the Hybrid Theory and Meteora videos. After that, it was just a couple ripoffs, generic political depictions, U2/Sunshine "inspirations", and now, Hahn's main direction to the guys when they ask what to do: "Just perform, I'll add a trillion FX later."

Seems to be their go-to move these days.

It wouldn't even bother me if the band wasn't in the next video. Just find a guest director, have him come up with a script, and shoot the thing with a few actors and no show-y effects.

All this being said, music videos are becoming less important with the internet pushing music TV further into irrelevance. I realize there's also YouTube, but when I'm going on YT to listen to a song I usually have the video in the background while I do other things. I don't get hyped up for music videos like I used to.

Exactly as Mark just said, music videos aren't something I get particularly excited for.

You know what was exciting though? Sort of a mix between a live performance and music video when Linkin Park did those AOL sessions for the Minutes To Midnight promotion. They played a few songs (Faint, Given Up, No More Sorrow and a few others) in a studio. Those were fun to watch.

Music videos are just the studio song playing over, in this case, the band "performing". It's alright. Nothing special though.
