What's interesting is we keep hearing a lot about Victimized, Castle of Glass, and now I'll be Gone, and all these three get praise but we never hear much anymore about Lost in the Echo, In My Remains (this one especially), Roads Untraveled, ect.

This interviews are making me just as excited for Victimized and Castle of Glass as they are making me more curious about the other songs

I'm glad the band hasn't completely abandoned the experimental stuff. I'm excited.

    Thanks for the summary! :)

    One thing got me intrigued...
Really? I though Mike did say they pulled back a lot of elements from previous eras, but not the heavy guitars. And BID+LGM don't really have any heavy guitars parts, despite the fact the 2 songs are energetic. Well, in fact LGM have heavy guitars, but they're very very polished + low in the mix...is this what he means by heavy guitars?

By the way, I'm surprised and excited about the 8 first songs being in your face! I didn't think Castle Of Glass or Roads would be but fine :)

He was referring to A Thousand Suns with that quote.

I'm mostly looking forward to the last four songs. I hope that my low expectations for the front half of this album are exceeded. Don't get me wrong, I like Burn it Down/Lies Greed Misery, but they don't even touch the caliber of ATS songs.

I think he means pulling back ON big heavy guitars. You assume he means pulling them back IN. To me "pulled" would imply keeping them away.

Thanks for the awesome interview! Just a few weeks to go!

Lol yes, I realize I totally misunderstood Chester statement and the term "pulling back" (which I thought meaned bringing back), thanks for clearing things up!

I love differing opinions, the world be be a bland world if we all had the same opinions. For me Lies Greed Misery beats every ATS song by quite a bit and Burn it Down, I also like better than the all songs off ATS (but it is close to a lot of songs). I think Lt could be their best album yet and I'm looking more forward to the front half than the last half.

That just means you're more into poppy music than Benjamin is. LGM is one of the sleekest pop jams the band has ever made. I do like it though, it's fun to blast.

"VICTIMIZED came together so quick and kind of wrote itself, it was a no brainer."

No doubts here, it's a heavy rock song with in your face lyrics. Anyone who's had a fucking bad day can put it together.

I would laugh my ass off if the first line in VICTIMIZED happens to be:

    FUUU************CKKKKKKKK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I couldn't even take the song seriously in this case

Thanks Ree for this awesome summary! What a cool dude is Chester, I hope I can meet him someday :D.

I'm so excited about this album, it just seems it'll be the perfect balance between the earlier and the newer Linkin Park. I loved BID and LGM took me completely by surprise, so I think this album will surpruse many of us even after reading the descriptions. I read about LGM and I never thought it would be the way it is. Looking forward to I'LL BE GONE and CASTLE OF GLASS, but I'm not huge fan of naming particular tracks, I just want the whole of LIVING THINGS.

The last four songs are more experimental????

Tinfoil has nothing experimental stuff on it
maybe it was experimental in the making of ATS

    3 of the last 4
