I cant fucking wait for this, it sounds like they have got the perfect mix between HT and ATS. I HAVENT HEARD SOUNDS LIKE THIS IN MY LIFE
Actually, listening to it with headphones on and volume turned way up, I'm starting to hear quite a lot of layering
First post ever in this forum, long time lurker, long time fan and LPU member. Thanks for everything you're doing.
Because they think that listening to something "cool" make them "cool", regardless if they enjoy the song or not. Some dudes, said "FUCK" to electronic instrumental for example, and said that LP would never use those "shit". Woala.
Welcome to the LPA! It's the best time to join up here with the album release just days away. Hope you stick around!
People saying IMR and BID have the same chord progressions: the first two notes are maybe an octave lower/in a different key but after that the notes are different. Example (letters are the musical notes from what I'm getting): BID Guitar: F G A C D B IMR Guitar: F G A B C (and it's hard to hear the rest) ...if anyone understood that.
I find it awesomely funny that you say they sound better than Burn it Down...the clip for In My Remains had clear similarities in just 30 seconds to Burn it Down lol...I also really don't get why some fans don't like Burn it Down, and I'll probably never understand it. You're clearly not opposed to synthy sounds, which Burn it Down also has...so it's not about guitars with you I don't think...don't get me wrong, to each their own with opinions, I get and respect that...but I find Burn it Down in many aspects follows familiar LP patterns with structure, sound and style, yet I've heard a lot of people be critical of it...
I actually remember the days when ATS leaked.. I was lurking, I admit. My bad, but it was a LOT of fun I didn't register with the last album 'cause I was not too much into it. Living Things makes me feel different
Remember that In My Remains is track nu.2, with Burn It Down being nu.3, it makes sense that they might have the same chord progression in certain areas, connecting the two in the beginning or the end.
So you hear every kind of music? Every kind? I think I'm very critical over music. And other things, too. It is good to question things and criticize them.
How can it make sense? They're 2 different songs, they shouldn't have to be repeating themselves, especially after this point in their career.
It's not being critical (cause I love BID) but I find it a bit generic and flat. Especially with the percussion, even in IMR, you can sense the "depth" in the song if that makes sense. I like BID, but I just don't think there was anything that outstanding about it, as I've come to expect from LP
Fair enough. I appreciate that you at least back up your opinion with reasoning. I don't really see how Burn it Down is flat though...the sweeping vocals of the verses have become what I thought were a fan-favourite LP trademark, the chorus booms out at you and draws you in, the rap also has a 'booming' quality and ties in well, especially at the end when it's fading out with Chester's vocals intertwined (another LP trademark that I personally always loved)...but hey, you said you love Burn it Down, so I guess our thinking isn't all that far off...
