As reported earlier this week, Linkin Park's close-out track "POWERLESS", taken from their new album LIVING THINGS due for release on June 26th, will be featured in the end credits for the movie Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter which opens in theaters on June 20th / 22nd. Timur Bekmambetov, the director of the movie tweeted about working with Linkin Park in Berlin earlier this month to film a video, which up until this point was unknown as to what it was exactly but can now be confirmed as a performance video for the featured song. This doesn't confirm POWERLESS will be the next single by any means, as it seems this performance video is simply a great way to get Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter and Linkin Park some joint promotion with their respective releases just around the corner, but we'll keep you updated as to any information on that when we know. The video shows Linkin Park performing POWERLESS in between shots of Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter and footage from the LIVING THINGS movie event that will be in select US theaters on June 25th. You can check out the exclusive video below courtesy of Yahoo UK.

Please be sure to let us know what you think of the video, the song "POWERLESS" and if you think it would make a good single choice on the LPA Forums.

I thought this movie was a bit of a joke until I saw this. Wow! POWERLESS can probably be used to make every movie trailer ever, epic. They weren't kidding about the cinematic feel.

Also, the video's pretty well made

Not necessarily. It could be used for the sole-purposes of this trailer. I'm not saying it won't be at some point down the line, but this by no means confirms it's the next single. Just a nice way to get Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter and Linkin Park some joint promotion.

This. Plus, if I had to take a guess, I'd say that footage is from the Living Things movie event.

From what I understand, the video is spliced with footage from the LIVING THINGS movie event, Abe Lincoln and new performance footage of the guys playing POWERLESS.
