Yeah. Breathe Carolina are considered "screamo" (which, in my opinion, shouldn't even be a genre to begin with) and I'm absolutely certain they're 99% electronica. Screamo is a bullshit genre. "Oh, they're screaming? They must be screamo!" It's so fucking lame.
Screamo isn't supposed to be a genre. Some say that this "genre" comes from the Emo (Emocore = Emotional Hardcore for those who doesn't know) genre.
Poor Adam. He makes a thread about Bring Me the Horizon and it ends up being a debate about screamo...
Nah it ended when Will cleared that Slipknot sucks and there shouldn't be a genre called Screamo. Will made my night.
You're the one who started an argument based on how br00tal and metulz the music is, so I responded in kind. Some of the bands I listed are pretty run of the mill, but others aren't, and absolutely none of them are screamo. I know this because I've listened to them. Yep, screamo isn't metal. However, that isn't necessarily an indictment upon the genre, and moreover Rammstein suck balls as do most bands that sound like the girl with the dragon tattoo would listen to them. Blackout? Fuck outta here. There are also many metal albums that sound like a bunch of angry people saying raaaahhhh and I guess therein lies the appeal. This behaviour is why metalheads get such a bad rap, and were this the sixties I'd see to it personally that you two were on the receiving end of a good hard caning, innuendo 100% intended. Good cunting day to you, sirs.
Don't enjoy them. I enjoy the genre, there are several bands that do this that I love, but BMTH is just bad to me.
Im with cookie. BMTH has no rythym, no melody, and I can't even consider it "organized chaos." Its just a mess to me, and I have no idea how they got popular. Just my opinion though.
I do like them, they're a decent band. They have some good songs. My favorites tracks by them are probably ''This Sadness Will Never End'' and ''Crucify Me'', but I don't listen to a lot of their music. Anyone remember when Oli wore that Linkin Park shirt on stage? He said Deftones/LP was his first concert he ever went to back in 2001. He loves LP.
