    This. Sucks.

Glad I've been giving away my remix codes. Waste of $5.

First I wanted to ask if this is really the new Monthly Remix and not some random one. But then I noticed I already got my eMail...

I must admit that I'm really disappointed (too)... I thought we'll get 8 remixes of 8 different songs...
And every song in a different style. But that is both not the case...

The first remix was okay. And it was at least atmospheric. But this one... It's just so boooring... >_<

These remixes are completely awful. They should've asked better producers to remix.

We still don't know if all of these are actually a part of the Living Things Remixes.

They may give us the remixes of other songs.

1.I like it. It's not a really good "casual listening" song. As varied as LP fans are I think this kind of electronic music is less of the fanbase's style. I grew up on this shit. Honestly if you played this at a club during a set, it would bang and people would love it. It serves a very specific purpose. The rap part is super awkward though lol.

    2. Meh maybe. We LP fans have a very idealized notion of what we want from the band. Someone else mentioned reanimation and I think they're right. We all want Reanimation quality shit. That was a full on project. It took a while. This is handing files to a producer LP or the label love to remix it in a weekend.

You know what I do when I get remix projects like this?? Open some old unreleased song I love but never finished and change all the music to fit the vibe. Very rarely am I creating straight from square one because it just takes too damn long. lol

    3. Exactly why I want to hear some kick ass remixes. It's the only song I skip on the album.

I expected more from Paul van Dyk. He is a good DJ, but it was a weak work.

People are jumping into conclusions. Chester and Rob said that THEY (the band) was going to remix 8 tracks of the album

The fact of 12 crap remixes CD of burn it down is leaked doesn't mean it is official and neither that these are the Living Things Remixed tracks

The fact is, of the eight tracks, two have been BURN IT DOWN.

Not exactly amazing, but not downright terrible for me. The turn-offs I get from this track is the repetitiveness of the same bar too many times, that's what makes the track longer than it should, just go to the point, too much messing around just makes me lose interest and that's what happened here, I stopped listening like at the 6-minute mark.

I hope the rest of the remixes aren't BURN IT DOWN, I didn't preorder through LP.com so I won't get the remixes but if I had paid, I would be pissed off too.

I won't condemn this song before listening to it, but I knew before hand seeing the 8 minute length of the track it was already going to be a hard listen. As for having a second remix of BID is disappointing, I want remixes of songs like Lost in the Echo and Castle of Glass. But all we get is remixes of BID there's nothing I can do to stop it.

If anything, this remix makes me appreciate the original synths in BID even more.

It's ok. Not bad. Could be better, though.

Lol, this remix just sucks! Too bad for the people that pre-ordered LT!
Imo it would be better to give the fans remixes of other songs than BID.

This one is way better than the RAC one.

This remixes CD is longer than the whole Living Things album, why? So, we just got all the remixes on that CD? If that's true, then this sucks, I really thought remixes of stuff like LGM would be awesome.

I could be insensitive as well and say "Sucks for the people who didn't support the LPA by not pre ordering" but I won't.

Guess it was deliberately made out to be that way. :)

A bunch of official remixes of "Burn It Down" have surfaced online now; the cynic in me says that this "Living Things: Remixed" thing is now totally pointless.

    Insensitive...???
Calling a remix bad is insensitive? Saying that it's not worth the money is insensitive? It's called an opinion.

And hey, has nothing to do with supporting the LPA...

A lot of people pre ordered to help the LPA win the Share to Earn program. And I didn't say that calling a remix bad (or I would be saying 98% of this thread was insensitive) was insensitive your jab at the people who pre ordered was insensitive (just a tad for me). And for the record I edited my "stfu" bit out of my last post so I didnt come across as insensitive. ^_^
