I would just like to point out that in hyping myself for this film, I went to the beginning of this thread and started reading. Funny how I was the only one wanting Bane to be the villain back then. I also name-dropped Catwoman as an alternative. In short ladies and gents, I'm psychic.
Some cunt on facebook just ruined a surprise in the film for me. I'm still going to see the movie, but it's one of those things that once you see it, it sticks with you...
Black Mask would fit into Nolan's movies quite nicely. I would love to see Penguin as a mob boss or something I would also love to see Zsasz do something in it
I'm probably going to go to the latest showing on Monday night and try to avoid the crowd as much as possible. Estimates say it will be bringing in between $170 and $230 million this weekend in the US. Gonna be nuts.
Well, damn. I have no complaints. Fucking amazing film. And I got some nice pleasant surprises at the end.
Consider me a bit disappointed. I don't want to say too much but the plot twist kind of ruined a certain character, and one of the surprises at the end just wasn't doing it for me. "You either die a hero, or live long enough to see yourself become the villain." The famous quote from The Dark Knight, and ONLY The Dark Knight.
I absolutely loved the ending. I loved most things about the movie as a whole but a few things I didn't like. In terms of the series I can't decide if I liked it better than Begins or not. TDK still takes the cake
I will watch this next week. For those who are watching, be careful specially those attending midnight screenings! I'm currently listening to police audio, apparently most of the injured were children, and one infant was shot in close range  What a fucked up world.
God damn it. I actually have a friend who is visiting her cousins in Colorado who went to a midnight screening.
Contact her bro, hopefully her cousins are safe There are now 14 dead and more than 50 people were rushed in the nearest hospital but it can't accommodate them all. Some teenagers were interviewed and according to them, there were explosions before the gunshots and they initially thought the sound came from the film. Here's what one of them said: This news is gonna blow up any minute now.
On the whole, I'd say I liked "The Dark Knight Rises" better than I liked "The Dark Knight". I was pretty surprised by the ending. In a good way, I suppose. I just made a thread in "Serious Chat" about this :x
