The last 6,7 post....or how to add fuel to the fire... Anyway, I'm fine with the songs from LT they will perform tonight. Not sure about how well songs like RU or Skin To Bones could deliver live. Especially the "oooohh" and "aaaah" parts in both songs.
Well, fair enough,ok with RU. But STB, I don't know, I have the feeling this song will be bland live, if it gets played at one point or another. Not sure about how the electronic instrumentation would deliver. Not sure about how the vocal harmonies would deliver. Not sure about how the mix of the last 2 elements would deliver. To me, STB is more of a studio song, and I can easily imagine it becoming the Robot Boy of LT.
STB is gonna need a thunderous bass/kick/beat to back up the main synth line, if it sounds like I'm imagining it on my head, it would be sublime. I love the song, and would like to see how it sounds live, but you have a point because it's very electronic when speaking about instrumentation. But I can see your point, your concern is more integral (instruments-mix-harmony).. Although my argument was more vocal-oriented, yeah it would require a meticulous combination to make the song work live and have the energy it has on the studio version, all elements have to be on point.
http://instagram.com/p/ONXq9Vxf9M/ Sold out concert tonight (I think nearly all the tour dates are sold out now). I'm just stalking twitter tweets now to see the setlist. Really stoked that this is the first official show supporting Living Things.
We have two sources sending us the setlist. I'm updating the original post as it happens. Looks like it's the exact same set rehearsed at the LPU rehearsal yesterday. Edit// Hold up, they've just missed out the ballad medley and jumped straight to Breaking The Habit? Maybe they switched the order or are skipping it all together? Edit// Yeah, they just switched places.
Kind of sucks that they got rid of APFMH, Runaway, Blackout, LGM and Points. But it's a good set, I just expected something a bit more energy filled. Never would have thought WTCFM would return. Can't wait for the show tomorrow. As long as they play GU and the Victimized/Qwerty mash up I will be happy.
Also, you guys realize the reason that ATS songs were added is only because these are make up dates for the ATS tour, right?? I highly doubt LITE and LGM and stuff are dropped for WTCFM and Fallout and stuff. I bet once the real HTC starts, the set will get rid of those and shape up nicely.
Nice to see LOST IN THE ECHO played after it was absent from the full set run-through rehearsal yesterday. I'll be interested to see how much the setlist rotates on this cycle.
Guarantee that wasn't taken into consideration whatsoever. They've never changed up setlists exclusively for makeup shows in the past...and Bristow wasn't one of the makeup shows anyway. FYI, Papercut/Lying From You were partial renditions, lacking the second verse and chorus, just like in rehearsals. I'm also seeing conflicting reports as to whether or not Fallout was actually played...
