Californians rejoice! Linkin Park have announced they will be headlining this year's KROQ Almost Acoustic Christmas festival. The band have been a mainstay for this annual festival ever since their breakout in 2000. LP will be playing Night 1 (Saturday, December 8th) of the concert series alongside Rise Against, Bush and Garbage. Night 2 consists of The Killers, Jack White, Fun., M83 and Neon Trees. Tickets go on sale to the KROQ Street Team on Friday, November 16th. For more information, visit KROQ.com. Source: Facebook via Cweed
Oh ! That's during my birthday ! Almost acoustic means that they will play some songs acoustically (is that word right ?) so as they did in 2001 ?
They should play CASTLE OF GLASS if they do plan to do *any* acoustic tracks, which unfortunately they probably wont .
I'm giving up on them playing any new LIVING THINGS tracks. Obviously this is the worst promotion they have ever done for any of their albums. All of their effort went into the releases of BURN IT DOWN and LIES GREED MISERY.
They will obviously play other new LT tracks at some point, at least COG and Powerless I think. Who know, it might even happen at that Kroq show. Anyway, a new date is announced, and you comes with a negative comment. You should see the good side of this news instead.
Awwww yea Linkin Park and Rise Against in one concert!!! plus Bush, Walk the Moon, Gaslight Anthem and AWOLNATION don't hurt either
Gonna try to get tickets for night one, but it's pretty much impossible, I've tried to buy several KROQ tickets in the past and have yet to score a pair.
