It was a bit distracting I'll agree. Especially his eyebrow makeup.... that was really badly done. But the more I got wrapped in the film, the less it distracted me.

Tom Hardy kills it. Just the things he can do with his eyes (which made Bane so awesome) are great.

    The Amazing Spider-Man - 8/10

Although nothing enthralling, it was definitely a very solid flick and it was a ton of fun to sit through. Definitely excited for the sequels. *crosses fingers for symbiote arcs involving Eddie Brock & Flash Thompson

I dunno, I liked it and all, but it felt very..."Twilight" relative to the previous rendition, for lack of a better adjective. I guess too pop would be a better word. You get what I mean.

The new Spider-Man film was atrocious imo! Andrew Garfield's portrayal of Peter Parker was borderline autistic, the cgi looked cheap and uninteresting, movie spent way too much time on unnecessary crap instead of showing Spidey swinging around, all the action sequences (besides the school one) took place at night. Terrible film imo.

I understand it wasn't the best, but it was a lot more coherent and less of a headache to watch in comparison to Spidey-3.

While I agree with most of your complaints, how is that not at least a good contemporary interpretation of nerdy, loser Parker? In the Sixties, a dweeb could work; nowadays, nerd = cool. So a guy lacking basic social skills will do.

It didn't even evoke the sense of it being awkward though. He just seemed extremely odd... like he has a mental disease or something. Even the villain was uninteresting and predictable. I'd take Raimi's Spidey 1 and 2 over this any day.

Snail: Yeah Spidey 3 was an absolute mess but I could atleast sit through it and it had some interesting action sequences (not that it salvaged the film). This didn't even have any of that.

True. In hindsight, Spidey 3 is indeed a lot more fun to watch.

I finally watched it again, and, I think the CGI on the Lizard was very impressive, I bet you never knew watching that both the sewer and school fight were totally CG. Oh yes.

However my main (and HUGE) complaint was all those damn cuts, you know like almost the WHOLE untold story.

Andrew and Emma were great, but other guys were just sort of meh.

EDIT: Oh and Skyfall was great. Much better than expected. Finally I also re-watched the classic Full Metal Jacket. What's not to love in that first half?

    007 - Skyfall

9/10 - Awesome movie. Watch it!

    Breaking Dawn Pt. 2

6.5/10 - Bad actors, weak story. There's only one scene in the whole movie that saved it from being a completely shit.

If it is anything like the novel, it is awful. Another monstrosity by Stephenie Meyer.
