Fake or not, I don't mind it for the track itself.

It sounds cool and the vocal sounds like Chester but I don't think it's Brusier.

Fake. Bruiser is a very "Wretches and Kings-esque" track, according to people who heard it at the Camden LPU Summit. A couple of them also said this isn't Bruiser when it was posted on LPLive about a week ago.

As of right now, we've heard two different answers for whether this song really is bruiser. Both were at the LPU Summit and both claim to have heard the original. I don't know how strong your source is Broman, but I'm fairly confident the guys from LPL heard the genuine song. And if it is similar to their description, then this song is a far stretch.

According to the gentleman I spoke to at that very summit, the track they were sampling and allowing people to work around with wasn't Bruiser. Did any of the people who are claiming to have heard it ask the guy directly if it was indeed Bruiser? I'm willing to admit I'm wrong if they did (and that I was given incorrect info), but Bruiser is supposed to have a dubstep feel (as quoted by someone from OpenLabs who posted in the original news article for the laptop), not a wretches and kings feel.

Of course at this point, I wouldn't be shocked if all these descriptions of the song are correct. Considering the reviews of Linkin Park songs prior to album release are always so different and their genre has such an eclectic feel, it wouldn't surprise me.

Well I'm not all entirely sure. I'm just taking his word for it. He said he ripped the song from his computer. We were listening to the track in his car so I'm just saying it is based on what he told me. I'm not gonna assume he was lying, don't see the reason for it, but I understand why there are doubts seeing how there really are 2 ends of the spectrum going on

This kinda reminds me of that teaser the band released on Tumblr.

edit: On second thought, not really. But assuming this is Bruiser, if it was lengthened and had vocals on it, it could be what LGM tried to be.

The mixing sounds like it's professionally done.

So is this a LP track or not? these two threads on LPA completly contridict each other.
Its convincing enough to be real, but I'm not sure. Astat seems adament that is isnt though.

I love how Derek got it checked out and ever so subtly destroys everyone's hopes and dreams about hearing Bruiser so far.

It's entirely possible that this is an LP track that came with the Open Labs software (although if that's the case, it begs the question of why this track has surfaced and Bruiser hasn't...), it has all of their sonic signatures and it sounds far too professional to be something a fan just cooked up on their computer at home to troll people with. I'm just saying that based on every description of Bruiser that's been given by people who heard it, this doesn't sound anything like that song in particular.
