    That isn't immortality.
    They're humanoid robots that have artificial brains. Robots or androids are machines. Machines don't live. They aren't living creatures. Living forever means living forever. LIVING. Machines do not live. They are not living creatures. They are lifeless. Something that is lifeless cannot live forever, because it's not even living.
    Immortality= Living forever.
    Also, don't look up immortality on wikipedia, it just says oranges. My teacher was right when she said wikipedia isn't a reliable source.

    Immortality is not necessarily living forever. You can be immortal and still get destroyed. You're only safe if no one tries to harm you. Invincibility is the ability to never get hurt, so to "live" forever you have to be invincible and/or immortal.

    But really you have to ask yourself what is living? If you have any conscious, I'd reckon that is considered living. It's existing while being self-aware, which is more than I can say for plants which are actually "alive".

    Moving your personality to a new body somehow does not make sense to me. Wouldn't that simply be a copy of you and not yourself?
    But there are other possibilities.

    Just depends on perspective really. But if you can move everything about person (every little detail, which if we can make any form of immortality real that would be small task) than said person is not only immortal but they are essentially invincible. It would be like how data is stored on a computer. Your DNA, your personality, and your memories would essentially be stored in database ready to uploaded into a new body. Which is where I disagree with guys who say this means immortal not invincible. It would be like "Well this could kill me, but we have a there's always a back up body." Once you can copy and paste everything about you, you are essentially invincible.

    Except if the back up bodies get destroyed. Or if the database get erased :)

    Immortality would be the biggest disaster ever developed. Imagine the dictators living forever. Imagine the world could not be populated by a new generation that rectify our mistakes. Imagine the Nazis would still be here. Forever. That's definitely scary.
