"but they also will be helping out some people in need." I bet some of those "people in need" are fat cats from WB in desperate need to cash-in on Linkin Park's popularity while they still can.
I really wonder when Mall is going to be released. It seems Joe has been quietly directing without any updates what so ever. From what he's said, the movie is completely filmed.
I wonder what we'll get for music from Mall. I'm guessing that it'll be a score with a couple full tracks like The Raid.
We have to remember that scores aren't going to be super catchy and may at times be incredibly slow and possibly boring. I just don't want people to be getting their hopes up for an entire album of instrumentals or full songs. It won't be like that.
Truth! Scores are meant to be an undertone at times and an amplifier when it needs to be. They are mainly mood music to help the story in a movie come to life.
I'm really excited about the score. I really wanna know what the entire band sounds like when they are, as Zane and Hybrid said, making music to support a film instead of standing on its own. It would have to be pretty different from their normal stuff.
I really love movie scores, so of course I'll probably enjoy it. There are definitely some movie scores that I like more than "Full fledged albums", whatever that means.
but their might be a theme song for the film. since the movie is being released independently, an LP song would be great way to promote it.
