After a week of speculation surrounding the title and release of the Warner Bros. announced LIVING THINGS 2 Disc Edition, it has now been officially revealed that it will be titled "LIVING THINGS +", much like Linkin Park's similar CD / DVD edition of "A Thousand Suns +", which carried the same name when it released November 7th, 2010. The title was first reported last week by BlackChester.DE, but it wasn't until now that this information was publicly available. LIVING THINGS + will ship with the LIVING THINGS Vinyl / LIVING THINGS Australian Tour Edition artwork, and will come packaged with a live performance of the band's show from June 5th, 2012 where they played the Admiralspalast Theatre in Berlin, Germany as part of Telekom Street Gigs. You can read more about the track list and DVD details here. I would have bought it if it had the whole concert, why did they take songs out? I can just download the HD version that aired on TV and then just look at the other 3 songs that were in the webcast. I find this DVD kinda pointless
didn't I post this with a screenshot from the Warner Germany Media Database last week? *scratches head*
Didn't I mention that in the post? *scratches head* This wasn't public information until today. That's why it's up today.
Yeah, not a fan of having three different versions of the album with the same artwork, especially when they have so much LIVING THINGS artwork that is awesome but what can you do? Can't say I like how they're continuing to use the "+" as a special edition title either, but how inventive can you really get with CD / DVD editions? I guess it makes sense to keep these releases uniform by name and I'm just being picky.
I'd like to have seen them take a different approach and name the album: LIVING THINGS: Brätwurst Edition.
With this whole DVD thing, the songs that were cut, the lack of LT material in the concert, Warner, I will quote Mike regarding my decision to buy it: "Maybe we are idiots, we buy it anyway" Whatever it is, if it's LP they'll take my money lol.
I was joking. Since we have a Joe already, I was saying my name should have a "+" behind it. Like ATS+ AND LT+.
I might get it if I see it for the cheap otherwise I'll pass. Also, anyone know if it'll be a digi-pack or not?
We don't know. I don't think they'll do a Digipak like the "A Thousand Suns Special Edition" one. "A Thousand Suns +" had a Jewelcase, too. Would be cool, though.
I saw an ad on TV for this earlier today. They mentioned that this is like the official tour supplement for LP fans or something along those lines. The ad also mentioned Soundwave so i guess it came out a little late.
