No freakin' way. All their albums have been pretty successful and I thought they had a lot of fun making Danger Days. The amount of teen memories with a MyChem soundtrack. This sucks.

Being in a band that almost broke up, I can tell you success has no bearing on it really.

Either A) It's a personal situation they don't want to talk about or B) (more likely) They've just gotten to a point where they want to lay back and do something else. They may not be sure of how much further they can push the vehicle they made and would rather go out on a high note.

In this era of drama in the music business I say good for them for going out in a classy way.

They probably did, but apparently it didn't sell anywhere close to the two albums before it. Those 'Conventional Weapons' EPs really weren't kicking up much excitement, either.

Man, this really bums me out. Like them or not, they are some talented guys (and Black Parade is a masterpiece, no arguing), and they were definitely a great live band. Sad to see them go.

I agree with all of the above. But I'm rather curious why call it quits all of the (at least on a public level) sudden. Leaves me suspicious :obama:, I mean, you're in a decent band, have an established fanbase, and one day they're gonna be like "okay, we're done, let's move on". Hmm.

With that said, I'm pretty sure those guys will crawl back after they squander their earnings.

I was never really a fan of these guys honestly. But I know they had a big following, so that's unfortunate for the fans.

I've been a massive fan of them since The Black Parade, so this one's hit hard for me, especially when there was supposed to be a new album coming out later this year! So, yes, it is really unfortunate for fans of the band such as myself. I personally think they're a one-of-a-kind band, honestly. Their music is just so radically different and even beautiful at sometimes. It's like they were bending and breaking rock music to their own will! Now that they're gone, I just don't know if there's gonna be a band like them ever again! It's just so sad :(

Yeah, but I'm sure their previous successes probably meant they were still alright money-wise. Even if Danger Days and Conventional Weapons didn't sell well, it probably sold more than most bands. Probably a personal reason I'm guessing.
