I want LP to make an album where they just have fun. Massive, experimental, hard work fun. Just like Green Day, Paramore and FOb did with their albums, I want them to utilize all their influences and make the album massive fun for me to rock out to. Like an "Until It Breaks" fun.
I want the same sound as A Thousand Suns and Living Things just one more time. If not, then I'd like to see the band go apeshit, but not like mmm....Cookies though
Fall out boy is kind of pop punky and if Lp went that way I would never forgive them. I abhor pop punk.
Two simple steps to creating a GLORIOUS next album: 1. Smash Mike's computer to kingdom come 2. Get the band to finally jam together rather than combining seeds of a guitar riff, a drum beat, and a two note bass line that happen to sound good together. Throw them into a room together with their instruments, lock the door and open it back up a few hours later - see what they come up with. The result could be nothing of real significance OR it could be just the change they need to create their magnum opus.
Longer songs, a bit more of an experimental feel, and more importantly a bit more of an upfront orchestral touch.
I think if Mike laid out a fat beat and layered out some wicked polka and raped some mean ass heavy verses over that, the results will make everyone cream themselves.
