It's interesting to note that 2 more show dates until the end of May are announced on STP official site. Since Chester has performed the whole show today, I'd bet he will also perform those 2 others.

I really don't think there's any danger of Chester leaving Linkin Park. Stone Temple Pilots isn't even a very active project anyway. Since 2002 they've broken up more times than they've released albums. It'll probably be a tour/festival run this year and maybe an album at some point.
I get the feeling that Chester enjoys singing these types of songs because he grew up listening to this kind of music. Honestly, I'm not a HUGE fan of STP, but I do like some of their songs and I think Scott Weiland is a great vocalist. This songs mainly highlights Chester's dynamic range and it's kind of disappointing that we don't hear this side of him on LP more often. This is a more bluesy and soulful side of Chester that needs to be utilized more in LP instead of just the screaming and soft/pop vocals he does.

There are so many hate already on the web about Chester joining STP, i think they misunderstood Chester's collaboration on STP. they thought STP hired Chester to be the new vocalist and leaving a bad mark for Scott Weilland.. Apparently, Chester's vocals are so powerful and you can see the passion on that song...
I'm pretty sure Chester will not leave LP. Don't worry about that. If he wants to make music on the side, I think that's a great thing. It keeps his mind going.
Not sure how I feel about the song itself, but it's definitely awesome to see members of the band doing some more collaborations. I think Mike should appear on more tracks too. Carry Me Away was great.

Great to have him actually confirm that he will never leave LP, even though I know he wouldn't anyways. This could be a great thing. STP are a really good band and I have liked them for a really long time.
