I think this is one of the very rare instances where I prefer the radio edit to the full thing. It's about a minute and a half shorter but it really doesn't lose anything in my opinion. It's just more to the point.
definitely getting that vinyl pre-order, since it comes with a digital download, the vinyl AND a CD insert. fuck yeah. all for $28, not bad
Yeah, I'm not much into vinyls myself but that is a really great price EDIT: also, Adrian Belew has left the live lineup.
I'm not that much of a fan of Nine Inch Nails, but I am I am a big fan of Trent Reznor's work in the film and video game industry, so i'm looking forward to NIN's new album!
I don't think Adrian was ever part of the live touring band, it was just misquoted on a lot of news sites that he was touring with him. In reality, he just contributed parts to the album, much like he did with Ghosts. The guy from Jane's Addiction is the one that isn't touring with NIN anymore, which is fine, since we got Robin Finck back in the fold. Talk about a hell of a guitar player, fuck. This is one of the more solid touring line-ups they've had. Ilan is a beast on the drums, Alessandro is a god, and Josh from Telefon Tel Aviv is a legend in his own right. I kind of miss Jeordie, though.
Only bad part about having Alessandro is that he won't have much time to work on his own stuff. SONOIO is the bomb.
Yeah, you're definitely right. So I pre-ordered the album earlier today! Now, I just have to muster up some excitement over the next three months
I am very rarely hooked on a song from the very first few seconds, but this song did it. NIN is back. Super pumped to see them this fall.
So yes, I was strugling to remember which particular song I thought "Came Back Haunted" sounded like (in parts). I remember now. The chord progression and pretty much the whole chorus of this sounds VERY similar to the one of "The hands that feeds". Listen to the 2 chorus back to back, it's almost the same thing. On the other side, I really dig the verses of this new song.
Good song, looking forward to the album! But I can't stop myself from thinking of PSY's "Gentleman" when I hear that synth in the backgrund haha, maybe that's just me...
lol guess I'm not the only one who thought of that song (kinda hate it 'cause I don't want to associate Trent's music with... that haha). I just compared the two, though, and they don't really sound the same.. Funny how that goes
I was thinking that Came Back Haunted sounds more like Somewhat Damaged than The Hand that Feeds. Yes structure wise, it sounds similar. But the way the sounds are layered and how they come in one by one reminds me of Somewhat Damaged.
