The Huffington Post has published a lengthy interview with Linkin Park band member Mike Shinoda. The interview dives mainly into the subject of Linkin Park's philanthropy efforts both past and present, particularly The Urgency Network's "Power The World" contest with Music For Relief. This contest's grand prize is the opportunity to attend the Summer Sonic festival in Japan and be treated to a meet & greet experience with Linkin Park. Shinoda also speaks on Linkin Park's upcoming Facebook game, "Recharge", and how it will tie into Linkin Park's charity work: Additionally, Shinoda gives a brief update on what Linkin Park is up to, mentioning that there will be something revealed "in the next month", although this may or may not just be in reference to the recently-announced "LPU Sessions" project: You can read the entire interview here. (Hey, if anyone could please fix it, I made a typo in the headline and it turned up on Twitter :/ ...)
Yeah, I just got home and saw Shinoda's tweet and that LPA hadn't reported it. In any case, I'm gonna subscribe to "Got News?" right now so that I actually remember to check that thread in the future
It could be that he was interviewed earlier, and he was talking about the LPU contest. Hopefully not though. It's time for the Mall!
Interviewer: Mike Ragogna Interviewee: Mike Shinoda Confusing... This will definitely be a greatest hits album No, in all seriousness I hope it has something to do with the Mall soundtrack.
Seeing as this interview more than likely was done within the last week or two I'm willing to bet the announcement was LPU sessions. I don't know if it'd be a good idea to get all excited over the idea of new music when Mike could've very well meant the contest. Just saying.
But he said 'next month' .. Nah, they made it pretty clear numerous times that the only date left for a concert in the US is the Sunset Strip Music Festival.
How can anyone not think 'new music' when Mike says something like that? I'm not saying it is, but I don't believe he was talking about the recently announced thing with the LPU.
