I was about to say what Derek said. It'll be like a collision course with djs. Personally I am interested in anything the band does because of how professional they go about doing it. I beloved they can do anything to a high standard. The options are limitless

Like Derek said, its awesome how much the band is making music these days. I ain't a fan of EDM and I don't want the band going that way but its just a collaboration. I still think these collaborations could be for the Mall soundtrack.

    Thanks for that pic.
Wasn't planning on sleeping either ways -.-

I can understand the fact some of you don't like electronic stuff.

So to this point, it's still unknown who would be producing the 6th Album of the band... I guess they're tight in giving information... I hope that rumor is not true.... It's time to look for a new producer aside from Rubin....

Skrillex is probably producing the new LP album.

I've been reading this thread since its creation without being able to answer. Oh boy some replies.

What's so wrong about LP collaborating with artists from different genres? What I find hilarious is that some act as if LP is changing their whole sound altogether to the point of "no return". And all of the crap speculation is based on the sole contribution of Chester and Mike to a song that's NOT theirs to begin with.

They haven't released a song from their new album, nor they have even given a glimpse of what's it gonna sound like or what direction they're taking. The fact that they are doing different collabos doesn't imply that their studio album is heading that particular way.

Fine, some don't like EDM and stuff, but it's all relative, you should judge more on actual facts than in baseless assumptions and mere speculation.

Why? Rubin is one of the best if not the best, and other producers would just tell LP what to do instead of giving them pointers.
Rubin teaches them how to fish.

I'm probably opening up a can of worms that I probably shouldn't be opening, but I really don't see how it's in any way bad that Linkin Park are collaborating with artists that aren't as well known as you want them to be. Reanimation was FILLED with collaborations with artists that were and still are underground, and that happened to be one of their best releases. I think people need to get it out of their head that just because they aren't "well known" that they must obviously suck and aren't worth our time to listen to.

I don't care how well known they are, I just don't like club shit or at least, current club shit. If they did some collabs with some Moving Shadow DJs, that'd be pretty sweet.

I get that people may dislike this collab with DJ stuff. And they have a right to express themselves, just like I hold the right to complete disregard/ignore those dissing! I for one am stoked about the collabs and can't wait to hear more. We all know that LP can sound great in any genre (as we know from the various monthly mix up competitions held by the LPA). What makes me laugh is that when LP are mixed with dance, trance techno etc in the LPA monthly mix ups, everyone bums them hard saying how awesome it sounds. Then when the band do it officially, it's horse shit!

DJ Fresh is a bigger deal than Steve Aoki as far as a potential collaboration for LP (or band members therein) goes. I'm much more excited about this. :)

    Well, no, they're not.
