Were people so against LP doing Collision Course and Reanimation also?

    You are pure evil.
    :disgust:

LOL! I agree. It's a collaboration. Most fail to see how the band is putting out more songs like they said they would.
People should just be happy its not with Nicki Minaj.
Imagine her doing the roman voice thing on an LP song. :pope:

People have always been against LP. From what I remember of the forums at that time, yes and yes.

If it isn't nu-metal or Chester isn't screaming to the point he ruins his vocal chords, the majority of the fairweather fans aren't happy. It's just the way it is. It's as if they've completely forgotten that Hybrid Theory was intended to be a mixture of pop, hip-hop, electronica and rock. There was never anything truly "metal" about the band, and if you would've gone on a metal forum and said Hybrid Theory was metal, you would've been laughed right off the site.

Linkin Park were never and will never be a metal band. And that's not a bad thing. Although, if you listen to the fairweather fans who mistook them for a metal band, you'd think it was the end of the world.

Pretty much what derek said, I myself never thought of LP as a metal band, even when i was 9 year old, i knew they were mixing genres.

I'd blame Meteora for that. That's the album that cemented the thought that LP were nothing more than "nu-metal".

No. Nicki Minaj comes first. Then LMFAO and then maybe Will.i.am

Edit - I just pictured Chester and Mike in the video of "Sexy and I know it" :WTF:

I honestly wouldn't mind a Gaga collab. Seriously.

Though I would find a Rebecca Black collab a fine bone to throw the nu-metal fans.

EDIT: brainfart. I used the word "podcast" when I meant "collab." X____X

In all seriousness, I think LP collaborating with Coldplay or Muse would be the biggest thing ever. Both those artists have gone for a more electronic approach in their recent albums, same as LP. So I think its easier right now for these bands to collaborate than how it was a few years back.

Would be cool. But simply can't see LP and Coldplay even considering doing a collab for some reason. Just don't think it would work out.

If LP were ever to work with Muse or Coldplay, that'd be the greatest thing ever. It's a pipe dream, but still.

I would love to see them work with Get Busy Committee or Julien-K, so we can get the whole band involved with them instead of just Mike or Chester.

Worst idea ever, Coldplay are scumbags who steal other people's music.

That song with Rihanna? Stole from a struggling Vietnamese artist, then as soon as attention was brought to it they were paid off. These scumbags will pull anything to steal a hit.

No collaboration with LP thanks, and did you hear Muse's last album? Awful, never heard so many Queen ripoffs in under an hour; Muse are dead.

The thing is that Coldplay are well documented as stealing other people's music. So I took his post seriously until the paragraph about Muse. The way it's worded made me think the entire post might have been a troll.

"Robot Boy" apes the riff from "Hey Joe" and "Shadow of the Day" is a complete rewrite of "With or Without You". Led Zeppelin built their career on stealing songs from blues singers and unknown bands they were touring with. Who gives a fuck?

I prefer the term "inspired" than "stealing" unless its will.i.steal.
