    Elysium - 4/5

Dazzling special effects and entertaining action. Minus one point for forced sentimentality and shaky cam.

    Kick-Ass 2 - 6/10

It is absolutely nothing in comparison to the first. Regardless, the flick was a lot of fun. Here's to hoping Matthew Vaughn returns to write & direct the third and final (?) installment.

I don't think it had a better story than the first, but I actually preferred the fight scenes (the only scene better in KA1 imo is the corridor scene and Hit-Girl saving Big Daddy), I found it funnier and like you said.. a lot more fun. So I slightly prefer it to the first, but I think KA1 is a /better/ movie.. if you understand what i'm saying?
Also, there will be a third.. did you stay until the very end of the credits?

    Kick-Ass 2: 8/10
Though I like the first one more, this was much better than I expected.

"Kick-Ass 2" - The movie was pretty good. I liked the fighting scenes in the movie better than the first. The story had some lame parts but overall was good enough. 3/5

I don't get what's the big deal with Kick-Ass. The first one wasn't all that great.

It's hard to translate the impact it had for its time, (which wasn't very long ago of course) but in this click-a-button and get what you want generation, a few years makes all the difference. Kick-Ass 1 broke cinema conventions with more than a few variables in 2010. It was charming, witty, and creatively shot. What lends to the collective moaning of 'Kick-Ass 2' failing to supercede its predecessor is that it fell short of achieving that same impact the first flick had. Director Jeff Wadlow kept things safe upon all facets of the film; akin to Bryan Singer forced/ditched off the production of 'X-Men 3', except Brett Ratner actually had the balls to take a few liberties with the progression of the franchise as opposed to Jeff Wadlow's safe approach.

Despite the overall annoyance I have toward the film, 'Kick-Ass 2' was still fun, I just wish it would have had the emotional catharsis the first harbored.

Old School (seriously, one heck of a funny movie!)
Crazy, Stupid, Love (thought it's just another run-of-the-mill romantic comedy, but it turned out to be actually aproariously funny at times)
Sinister (fantastic and very scary horror movie; the title says it all!)
Vacancy 2: The First Cut (decent thriller/horror movie; a prequel to "vacancy")

Was debating whether or not I should check out You're Next, but I might do that now.
