Awesome news! I really wish I could afford the box set. Oh well, I'll still be happy to get a copy of this!
I know, but before, the band wasn't this close to the end. It was just an assumption, but you know... could be. That is actually a really, really great idea! EDIT: Just noticed the Skin To Bone. Also great!
Gonna be as great as LT Remixed. Remember how the pre-order from LP gave us all those awesome remixes of all the songs and not just BID over and over? Mmm. How much is this thing, man?
I know, I'd love to see LP move on from WB since I'm sick of so much shit WB did. I'd still lose money tho
I'm not getting too excited until there's a track list. If its a bunch of Burn it Down remixes then fuck that.
I know it probably didn't happen... but being that they toured with Pendulum on the A Thousand Suns tour, I wish Knife Party did a remix of one of their tracks.
That's what Mike wrote. Not sure if I understood correctly but I believe that means he doesn't want Linkin Park to get out of mainstream. And that's not the first time he says that popularity is important to him. That's why I highly doubt LP will leave Warner soon.
We're probably finally going to get that awsome Castle Of Glass remix from those LPTV episodes. Same goes for the Tech N9ne remix. I'm hoping for more original collaborations like A Light That Never Comes. Maybe we'll get some of the other songs that they did with Aoki, the song they did with DJ Fresh or the song Mike did with Avicii.
At the end of the day every band and artist wants to be popular, even if they don't want to admit it. For those people music isn't just an outlet to express themselves but also what they do for a living. I never understood that "underground" behaviour where they imply that for you to be a real artist, you don't have to be famous and that mainstream market isn't real art (Mike wrote something about it in the article as well, and around the comment section). I think that with "balance" he means that there IS a way to be popular while having musical and creative integrity. And I'm fine with it, I don't think Linkin Park has to go completely independent from a label to be able to do what they want to do, I think perhaps there could be another one who can allow them to be as ductile as they want to be in terms of music. It's just my opinion.
LPU13, RECHARGE, and probably another studio album down the line. It's a good time to be a Linkin Park fan.
ALTNC in a few days High Rise in less than a month Recharged in lesst than two months LPU13 in less than three months It really is a good time to be a fan.
Reanimation quality type album would be the greatest thing in the world, but I seriously doubt that we will ever see something like that again.
I think it's going to be a remix album that follows closely with the growing trends in EDM, but we can hope there's a few more tricks in the album than that. Considering that it's not just like an EP or a downloadable pack for LP:Recharge, and they're actually making it an official remix album, I have hopes that the quality is quite high. Especially considering that I really enjoy the previews of A Light That Never Comes so far.
So we'll finally get hands on that -apparently- amazing remix of COG we heared in a LPTV episode a while ago? Surely hope so.
