iTunes Radio was announced with the unveiling of iOS 7 back in June, but it didn't show up in the iTunes 11.1 beta until beta 2. I've had ample opportunity to play with the feature in beta versions of iOS 7 and now the GM release, and have upgraded my iTunes to the 11.1 beta 2 (iOS 7 devices can't be synced without it) to continue the experience. I can really sum everything up about iTunes Radio in two words: Spotify killer. The fact that you can just stream non-stop music on wi-fi, your data plan, or even on your computer via iTunes, and you get to decide the genre or the artist is incredible. I will note, however, that this seems to be still a little buggy as my "Linkin Park Station" played New Divide and then B.Y.O.B. by System of a Down.
I still get the same thing with Pandora. I'll get Little Things followed by like a slipknot song or something. It would appear they are still getting lumped in with other nu metal. Anyways, I'll have to check it out on my itunes.
Has to be prior to the launch of iOS 7 on Wednesday, because I first received the error in 11.0.5 that I had to use 11.1 to be able to sync everything.
I like it, and it's much better than Pandora. Now I can delete that app and have space for... more important things.
